another march, this one tapping into the national dialogue on immigration. a debate fueled by presidential contender donald trump, who was in the bay area himself on friday. they marched to san jose city hall for speeches calling on politicians to lay a clear path to citizenship without deportation. the fee was a -- was repeated in oakland where demonstrators gathered, calling for fairness and inclusion for all minorities . >> these hands built all the things you see in this country. >> we are being exploited by the different entities within society. we want to bring the different cars threw rocks and bottles and broke several business and car windows. seattle police posted this window, some of the weapons they confiscated. police used pepper spray to try to break up the crowd. at least two officers were injured and at least seven protesters have been arrested. the violence came after a peaceful mayday march earlier in the day. fresco user cristiano sent us this video from along with physicist and entrepreneur ron untz. winning will be tough with the registered voter numbers shrinking. they are competing against democratic rivals, the attorney general and a congressman -- congresswoman. hearing -- here in california the top two vote getters of any party advanced to the november election. trump calling on the -- republicans tonight ahead of tuesday's indiana primary. meanwhile bernie sanders says he's staying in the race despite recent losses. as christian fish reports, he's acknowledging his path to the nomination hinges on flipping so-called democratic superdelegates. >> reporter: hillary clinton still leading sanders ahead of the indiana primary, but not by much. a new poll has clinton ahead by four points. she's been hitting the campaign trail hard in the hoosier state but also clearly looking ahead to the general elections making the case that it's time for the party to unite behind her. >> think of what we can achieve together. we can get everything done that i am talking to about if we work together. >> and sanders is starting to acknowledge his facing an uphill battle against clinton saying his fate now rests in the hand -- hands of the so- called superdelegates, those who can vote for whoever they want at the convention. >> i would hope very much that the superdelegates from those states where we have won with big margins, to respect the wishes of the people of those states. >> meanwhile donald trump is hoping to use bernie sanders as an unlikely asset is a hinges closer to a one-on-one race saying his primary tax against the nomination. >> there are 83 delegates up for grabs. in washington, fox news. a drunk 20-year-old -- driver caused the crash on interstate 80 in which she and another female were killed. the chp says the vacaville woman was driving a honda and slammed into a jeep suv that had pulled onto the shoulder. the force of the collision caused the suv to spin around, trapping people in both cars. the other three people in the jeep suffered minor to moderate injuries. a trial in santa clara county on several charges including dui. smith faces misdemeanor counts of dui with a prior conviction, hit and run and vandalism charges. the incident happened on august 6 that resulted in his suspension from the team until november at the earliest. former 49er nick moody was reportedly with smith at the time it is being compelled to testify. despite his legal troubles, he has a new two-year $11 million contract with the raiders. oakland police are hoping someone will come forward with information that can help with their investigation into a shooting that left a bicyclist dead. police found a man shot to death near lake merritt just after 12:40 yesterday morning. they identified the victim as 29-year-old ernesto lloyd junior of texas. authorities say robbery does not appear to be a motive, but they would not elaborate further. it's day 11 of a standoff between hunger strikers in san francisco and the police chief. the five people on strike have been surviving only on liquids saying the police department has fostered a culture of racism that has resulted in a string of police shootings. the want the chief to step down or the mayor to fire him end of the mayor doesn't fire him, they want him to step down. spokeswoman said the hunger strikers are getting weak and one may have -- may have pneumonia. a pg&e official says crews were unable to find the source of a natural gas odor in the east bay. people reported the smell last night. pg&e said crews used equipment but found no indications of a natural gas leak. they will though continue to monitor the situation. a solo plane will begin the next leg of its journey tomorrow. the solar impulse 2 uses solar power pipe -- by day and stored battery power by night with the goal to demonstrate the use of clean energy for air travel and it's about halfway through a round the world trip. two pilots trade-off and hope to be the first to circle the globe in a solar-powered plane. the next stop is phoenix. fire season is set to begin and even in our el niƱo year, california needs to be ready. he was always super nice and thoughtful. >> a man who knew prince better than most is breaking his silence after the superstar's untimely death. and a massive fire breaks out in manhattan. the mitt -- the historic building nearly burned to the ground. dramatic video out of new york, and massive fire engulfed a church in new york city. it broke out at a serbian orthodox cathedral in manhattan. hundreds of firefighters were on the scene. no reports of injuries and investigators are trying to determine the cause of the fire. it was designated a new york city landmark in 1968. the search for stolen artwork done by andy warhol continues. several of them were swiped from the museum back on april 11. the fbi says the museum 10- print collection is worth about a half-million dollars. it's number 31 in a run of 250 print sets. they have surveillance cameras and guards but it's not clear investing -- if investigators have identified a suspect. fans of prints are still trying to deal with his death. among those still in shock are his personal chef, ray roberts and his wife jewel. they prepared all of the late singer's meals for the last three years. they have many fond memories of the man they say was very have not released a cause of death. parts of alaska, hawaii, and arizona face an increased threat of wildfires this year. the national interagency fire center provides above average -- or predicts rather, above average wildfire potential in those areas for both this month and this month -- next month in june. forecasters say parts of california as well as nevada will become vulnerable in july. fire experts say most of the rest of the areas should see below normal or normal fire season. likely the last meeting of the valley fire long-term recovery task force. officials say even without the meetings, survivors will still be able to get help dealing with the aftermath of the deadly fire. you may remember that four people were killed in the valley fire. 76,000 acres burned last fall and more than 1300 homes and 66 commercial properties in seminole and lake counties were destroyed. and temperatures really warmed up this week in a pattern that would typically increase fire danger especially down the road for july, august and september. as you can see we had warm temperatures out there, 70s and 80s but everybody cooling off in the monday forecast, these numbers down by a good 8 to 10 degrees from today's highs all because of this. the fog is returning to the coast. that coupled with a pretty good onshore breeze will help bring the marine layer closer to the coast. and even a few patches well inland. current temperatures right now, santa rosa 57, san jose 56. half of the bay -- half moon bay checking in at 54 degrees. we've got some haze and that gives us a pretty good sign that the fog is already regrouping so it will be a factor first thing tomorrow morning especially in places like this out toward oakland and san francisco, alameda and hayward. so here's the deal, the fog returning coupled with a slightly deeper marine layer and the cooler air will push inland now and instead of mid- 80s -- just thinking right around 80 degrees. here's the forecast model tomorrow morning, 7:00, getting ready to go back to school and work. you can see the fog out to the coast and even a few patches to the north bay and if we scale this back, still some patchy fog for the beaches. this forecast -- is the forecast we will have over and over and there's the eventual temperature range, 60 to 80 degrees. warm offshore winds backed off, cooler monday and then eventually talking about some rain chances in the five-day forecast. rainy season may not be over just yet. more on that coming up at about 10 back 40. the sharks pull out a victory at home. now they had out alameda county coalition against fracking -- plans to show its support for evan. they say it pollutes the water table and the air. the meeting is set to start at 6:00 in the county building in hayward. the council could make a decision this tuesday on whether to adopt a rent- controlled apartments for the very first time. they are reporting the meeting is expected to draw a huge crowd along with demonstrations outside. city council members will be debating whether to catherine decreases, and by how much. they will also be considering a law to protect renters from unfair evictions, and a moratorium on any rent increases while they finalize the new rule. santa rosa rents have reportedly increased 37% in the last four years. the golden state warriors scored a decisive victory in game running for a seat on the board of the clark county school district including las vegas. it's one of the largest school districts in the nation. davis points to the controversy surrounding concussions and cte, a brain condition associated with repeated blows to the head. he says the human brain isn't meant to play football. >> what we know now about the sport and the concussions, it just doesn't make sense why we're doing it. >> davis wants the money spent on public school football used in a classroom. opponents claim millions of young men played high school football and are now living healthy lives as adults. may is national mental health month and experts call it a chance for the to reach out to anyone dealing with mental health issues to let them know they are not alone. a new campaign called text, talks -- talk, act is aimed to start conversations about mental health between young people. >> reed developed a program that combines texting with small group discussions, three or four young people face-to- face went to social media. we have now done several national days of this over the last year and a half. more than 50,000 young people have already participated. >> the next text, talk, act day is set for may 5. figures show about one in five americans struggle with some sort of mental health issue. it's also national osteoporosis awareness month. it's estimated 54 million americans either have osteoporosis or are at risk for it. it's more common in women but men can also be effect. doctors say there are several things that could be putting you at risk. >> smoking, excessive alcohol intake, not getting enough calcium or vitamin d, being inactive, and there are certain diseases and medications that can also increase your risk for osteoporosis. >> doctors say osteoporosis causes bone fractures that lead to more than 500,000 hospitalizations every year. a kentucky university removing a harsh reminder of slavery from its campus. a monument of a confederate soldier has stood on the campus of the university of louisville for more than 120 years. school officials made a decision on friday to take it down. that's after years of requests from students and professors on campus. >> the stain of slavery and racism that this monument represents for many people has no place in a compassionate, forward-looking city. >> i am very happy it happened and i wish we would have taken a no compromise stance earlier. >> the statue will come down in pieces and be put into storage. they haven't yet decided where to put it permanently, but they are considering several options including a nearby confederate cemetery. tomorrow marks five years since the death of bin laden and today one of the navy seals talks about the day one of america's's most notorious -- one of the world's most notorious criminals died. the brussels airport reopened an important part of its operation today, shut down since the deadly terror attack. a special ceremony was held for the 16 people who died on march 22 two bombers blew up suitcases filled with explosives in the departure lounge. the airport had already resumed some flights but were using a temporary check intent. today's reopening the stairs airport capacity to 80%. the airport also has new security measures in place. >> so many things happened here. also, for the people who lost family, who were middle of next month. a third bomber attacked brussels' subway station the same day killing another 16 people. tonight the obama -- administration may soon release part of a chapter into the inquiry of the september 11 terror attacks. john brennan said today on meet the press that the material contains preliminary information about possible links between saudi arabia and the attackers. information that was not substantiated. brandon said the 9/11 commission followed up on the plant -- culinary information and found there was no evidence indicating the saudi government or saudi officials that they provided money to al qaeda. tomorrow is five years since the navy seals team killed in lawton. -- osama bin laden. >> reporter: it's one of those moments in history that almost everyone can remember where they were or what they were doing when they heard, we got him. tomorrow on the fifth anniversary of the raid that killed its -- osama bin laden, there are no events scheduled to commemorate the mission but we are hearing new details from the president about that night and what went into his decision to greenlight the mission. in an interview with cnn the president said it was their best chance to get about -- osama bin laden and if they didn't, it could have been years before they were able to find them again. >> if it wasn't him, probably the cost would outweigh the benefits. and we would lose face internationally because there was going to be a lot of difficulty in keeping it secret once the operation started. >> the navy seal who fired the shot that killed him describe the very moment in a fox news special in 2014. >> standing 2 feet in front of me was the face i had seen thousands of times. very quickly, but i recognized him and then evidence that the fight against terror still rages on. the first us crews to cuba in more than 50 years is on its way. the carnival cruise ship left port in miami this afternoon. about 700 passengers are on board and it's expected to arrive at its first destination, havana, tomorrow morning. americans still cannot legally visit as tourists. the passengers aboard this ship are part of a cultural exchange. trapped inside their home surrounded by floodwaters. robbie henry of lafayette county, arkansas says overnight flooding left her stuck inside her home all day saturday. her family including two small children called for help repeatedly throughout the day. firefighters were unable to rescue her until late evening. >> i was getting ready for work and someone said look outside. i looked outside, the first thing i said -- hello, my car. we are underwater. and now we are stuck between water and water. >> firefighters used a boat to haul the family to dryland. it's unclear when they will be able to return to their homes or how much damage the floodwaters have done to the inside of their house. residents in the area are now beginning the long cleanup process as reuters receipt. -- as a waters recede. we are basically cooling things off quite a bit in the monday forecast. that's the initial change but the bigger changes setting up later in the week. as you can see, live tracker, showers developed out toward the sierra and foothills today. just lingering clouds approaching parts of the bay area to our east, but also to our west we have this. the fog making a comeback in more of a southwesterly wind in place. out toward half moon bay and san francisco and already a few pashas -- patches put -- pushing back in for sunday night. here's a live look at the -- at the bay bridge. partly cloudy skies over parts of san francisco and the fog bank will really increase in coverage first thing tomorrow morning. overnight lows first thing monday will be in the 40s to the 50s so definitely bundle up out there, off to a cool start, napa 45, san francisco 43 and livermore in the upper 40s at 47. san francisco at 7 am, low clouds, 55 degrees. and then by lunchtime, patchy fog, 60 and wrapping up the afternoon partly cloudy and breezy. once again winds pick up around 20 miles per hour in san francisco . today we had the 70s, tomorrow only in the mid-60s. you will notice the change, especially coast side and right around the bay. this area of high pressure really warmed the area up but tomorrow backs off as we have more of an onshore breeze. cooler forecast for monday and more cooling over the next few days. tuesday, wednesday and thursday tracking a system offshore bringing more clouds and possibly some shower chances beginning wednesday. here's some of the fog tomorrow morning, 7 am and then partly cloudy skies for the afternoon. tuesday, more clouds, no shower chances just yet but look what happens in the wednesday. wednesday morning more clouds, then more activity flaring up to the north of the bay area and south but shower chances for wednesday and then again into thursday and a slight chance for friday. temperatures for tomorrow, 60s and 70s keeping it cool coast side. lots of 70s out toward napa and fairfield and more neighborhoods coming up with san jose forecasting that a high of 46 -- force casting at a high of 46. cooling things off in the money, more clouds on tuesday. and there's the first chance of a shower for wednesday and again into thursday only into the 60s for those two days. looks like the upcoming weekend should be dry for saturday and sunday so heather and ken, we keep an eye on shower chances but i just took a walk outside and it feels much cooler out there. that's the basis of my forecast. i once heard, before every forecast pat mccormick would walk outside out that back door to get a better idea. >> kind of a basic whether technology. predators down in san jose. and giants-that's, coming up on sports wrap at 11. next, hear from authorities who say the victims in this crime aren't always who you might expect. a santa cruz county man arrested on child pornography charges. police say they began investigating jonathan wells last year and found several computers and hard drives in his home in socal. they say they also found 39 firearms at his home and they are trying to determine if they are legally owned by wells. >> human trafficking, it's an epidemic that affects hundreds of thousands of young men and women around the world each year. in tonight's crime files, henry lee learns what's being done in the bay area to combat the crimes. >> i'm joined today by the heyward police sergeant, line -- cantrell. tell us about what kinds of victims you typically see are being trafficked. >> the production -- predominate trafficking is sex trafficking and overwhelmingly -- the victim we see is sexually exploited children, anywhere from 9 to 17 years old and then exploited women, in adulthood also. >> tell us about where are some of these victims found. do they necessarily all come from troubled backgrounds? >>that's not necessarily always true. statistics show overwhelmingly, the majority come from the foster care system. victims who are basically recruited and exploited based on lack of family structure and things like that but we see victims they come from all demographics and households and you don't have to be from a troubled family to be exploited by a pimp or some kind of human trafficking -- that's where we are seeing that. but in the bay area, we see girls, young boys, from all over the country that end appear in the bay area. >> and when there are these high-profile raids, we are not necessarily putting the victims into jail. there are social services being offered. >> right we've learned over the years that a victim-based or porches the best -- approach is the best. the idea of a prostitute being the suspect in these cases is not necessarily true. a victim-centered approaches what we use. we view -- made a huge culture change in treating them as victims instead of suspects and that opens up a bunch of services for them. nobody wakes up in the morning one day saying they want to be a prostitute. they are forced into it, coursed into it or trick into it. almost to submission. a lot of them don't receive any medical attention, psychological treatment or medical services unless they are in the system -- or we grab them. some of these girls don't even eat for days of the -- at a time . >> if anyone sees someone who might be victimized, immediately contact law enforcement. >> absolutely, that's one of the things we've been trying to get out. the indicators of human trafficking or sex trafficking in children. you can be anonymous. make a phone call. make -- call the national hotline or call your local law enforcement. >> thank you for taking the time. >> you're
