will he be leading in the polls tomorrow? and how much you think carly fiorina will go up? >> she will approach double dj -- digit numbers. i think donald trump was very stale and patty in his responses. i think he was hit from a multipronged attack that was strategic. everyone attacked trump from every angle. they offered an olive branch as well.>> one name we are not talking about very much is jeb bush. what did you make of his performance and his admission of smoking marijuana? >> i don't know how it will play out with his mother, heather, but his performance tonight was much better. in fact, the quality of this debate overall person by person was much better. i thought jeb bush brought a much sharper tone to the debate. he went one-on-one several times with donald trump. i think he did well.>> is your sobel, let's talk about the other candidates. who helped themselves, who hurt themselves?>> i think ben carson turned in a subpar performance. he was quiet, did not assert himself. he didn't do a whole lot. i think trump did not do well this evening. i think rubio held his own, and chris christie i thought had a very good debate. again, going back to carly fiorina, she really changed the dynamic of the debate, and i think that's what people will be talking about tomorrow.>> prof. taylor, let's talk about the lighter moments of the debate in the question about what woman would you put on the $10 bill and what would your secret service name be? what did that add?>> i think it is much ado about nothing. i go back to chris christie's reaction between -- on trump and fear idina -- fiorina. these are not pertinent to where the people right now.>> prof., let's talk about the format. we have so many candidates, do you think the debate was effective with all of the candidates out there? >> that was problematic, because the bottom tier candidates had a hard time getting their voices in. overall, i agree with the other commentator that this was an excellent quality, well presented debate overall. cnn did itself well after fox knocked the ball out of the park last time. what comes out of this for me in terms of who wins is the viewers. there were some rare moments of political education where we use all rick santorum and george pataki go back and forth about the kentucky case and both men talking about keen and conscience was a moment of political education that we rarely get to see in these debates. i think the republican party should be proud of itself at the national level for this presentation. >> thank you so much for your time. democratic presidential candidate clinton live tweeted, saying, fingers crossed, we're getting close to the part where they are talking about things they are for incentive against. bernie sanders referenced the drought in one of his tweets. will he have the courage to connect that to climate change or reject the science?
