saved a child's life. the video shows the chaos while the staff member tried to brea up the fight, police chief shawne williams says other males he described as outsiders showed up in front of the school. then three people got into a dark colored sedan. williams says shots were fired from the car. the district says the staff member was shot tragedy anytime shooting happens in front of her. a campus and i believe that this is this was an act committed by people who do not value human life. sourc have identified the staff member shot as joseph pastrana, defensive coordinator for the school's football team. the superintendent says the staff member is being treated at a hospital and that a district employee has spoken with his family. the fact that it's not life threatening injuries is that he's going to be okay. and they're grateful. the superintendent tells me there will be counselors here and classes will take place as scheduled wednesday. there will also be county district attorney's office. police say it happened in berkeley over the weekend. the d a charged 18 year old irvin garcia ramirez for stealing a victim's laptop and backpack last weekend. police say garcia ramirez got into a white pickup truck driven by an her person and was spotted at a berkeley park the next day and arrested the state of california has launched a new website to help
