>> the fbi spent hours questioning mary lou danley his girlfriend after her return from the philippines. she is cooperating and said she knew him as a kind caring quiet man. is hospitals continue to treat the injured the death toll has remained at 58.>> as of 9:34 pm we have officially identified all 58 victims and one suspect that have been involved in this incident. as well as notified all the next of kin. which is a big deal.>> reporter: with so many questions remaining investigators are predicting a long road ahead. >> there is a lot of information that will change over time as we determined more facts. our resolve is firm. we will get to the bottom of this letter -- no matter how long it takes. >> reporter: he believes he had an accomplice. it is interesting because in the days leading up to the massacre we now know he was gambling extensively eight hours at a time. there are reports he had a female companion with him. police are trying to track down that companion. hundreds of people gathered to remember the off-duty las vegas police officer killed in the attack. charleston hartfield was an 11 year veteran of the force. he was also a married father of two. before joining the police department he served 16 years in the army and national guard. his colleagues nicknamed him captain america his patriotism in the lives he touched. >> stomach dozens of students came together at uc berkeley for a vigil to honor the victims of the las vegas shooting. about 50 students gathered at the -- to sing and pray and write messages for those affected by the massacre. any of the students had a connection to the events in las vegas. once said his relatives were working nearby and could hear the gunshots. another student new one of the victims. >> her name was jordan rivera. she lived in my hometown. it just goes to show how fragile life is. and how much we should cherish our loved ones. >> the student organizers say the event was held to comfort one another and encourage others to take action. close friends of a mother that was killed in las vegas talk to us about her life and the family she left behind. she leaves behind her husband vinny who is a san francisco police officer and their two children who are 10 and 12. the friends we talked to said they want to remember stacy for how she lived. they described her as devoted driven and passionate about her family. the important thing is to help her children deal with the loss of their mother and to help her husband step into the role of father and mother. we would do the best we can to help him. it will take a long time for him. his life will change. but if anybody can be the mom and dad all wrapped into one it will be him. >> funeral services have been set for next wednesday. in san francisco. a gofundme page has been set up to help the children and in today's donations are nearing the $250,000 whole. in the wake of the tragedy festival security is on everyone's mind. this weekend bluegrass festival in golden gate park is no different. 250,000 people expected each day. police are committed to keeping concertgoers safe.>> reporter: the casual family event. the bluegrass festival in golden gate park. this year new security concerns have arisen in light of the las vegas shooting. that left 59 people dead.>> since the las vegas shooting we are definitely put other measures. our department as a whole has done lots of increased patrols.>> reporter: it is expected to draw 250,000 people each day of its three day run. because there is no natural perimeter -- there will be no security checkpoints. >> we don't have checkpoints for bags. we are going to cut if there is a bag that is unattended obviously we are going to make sure that people are safe.>> i did have some negative thoughts. the world is imploding.>> reporter: lori danielson won't that what happened in vegas dictate their lives pick >> i don't want to put my life on hold and do anything differently.>> reporter: that includes public events. >> whether i am home in the neighborhood, and big public events. does have an awareness to what is around you. where are the exits and security? they had done the investigation. they made political hay out of this. went on television and said they were going after opd cops. >> reporter: alameda county da said there is different interpretations of the law involving the crimes he charge. she will appeal. in a statement she also said we are always mindful of how difficult it has been for the victim in these matters to testify about her exploitation. we made the decision in close consultation with her. her attorney said she testified reluctantly against perez. he said he is not disappointed the case has been dropped pick >> although these cases have collapsed the alameda county das office remains dedicated to stepping out exploitation insects trafficking. a bay area high school football team forced to move off their home field. the tarp inspection that revealed dangerous conditions to the players. we are tracking the weekend forecast. tomorrow is friday. we will talk about the warm-up and the increased fire danger. caught in the act. bay area police searching for a man trying to take photos of a woman stress. -- up a woman's dress. a football team has to move is game and practices after their field build a safety test. they have been relocated after the artificial turf field was deemed unsafe. the field will likely be unusable for the rest of the school year. other sports will not be able to use the field either. coaches say there have been injuries. it is unclear if issues with the field caused them. >> it turns out we did an inspection. we failed it. they took off too much turf. we are not able to hit or do any contact on it.>> the san rafael school district will pay to replace that turf field. is estimated to cost up to $1 million. police are looking for a man who took pictures of a woman stress at a target store. he followed the woman around the store when she bent over he secretly took the pictures and then walked out the store. it happened at the target on bridge point parkway last wednesday night. police say he was a black man in his 20s or 30s wearing a giants hat and t-shirt. with the number 420 on the front. he also had tattoos up and down his arms. stomach they have identified a robbery suspect and now could use help in locating him. investigators looking for this man. they say he got off a train in south hayward after flashing would appear to be a semi automatic handgun and taking a woman's purse. happened on september 11 at 9:30 am. the surveillance video enable police to identify him as the suspect. a new report that is out that ranks the worst roads in the country. oakland and san francisco came at the top of the list. the city of oakland is trying to pave over the problem by filling hundreds of those pesky potholes.>> reporter: potholes they are a nasty byproduct of the winter that was part the city of oakland in the midst of a full-court press to fill them up. >> i know streets in mexico that are better than the ones on east 18th. they fixed it. we were going to throw a block party. you needed a four-wheel- drive.>> reporter: $25 million has poured in to improve the infrastructure. over two miles of city streets have been repaved. the most recent three-week pothole blitz covered up 2700 potholes pick >> we are on track to hit an all-time record in the city of oakland. of filling 20,000 potholes. in the year 2017. >> reporter: nearly half of oakland 800 miles of streets need attention. the quicker the repair the more the city states. city councilman says his district sees at least two lawsuits a month broken down cars and injuries from shoddy streets. >> i'd rather take that money and invest it to fix the road to fix the sidewalk as opposed to being sued every time i show up in council.>> reporter: some of the potholes are measured in feet. that is a big one. as with the mayor she says this whole pothole blitz is personal as well pick >> that your car see a pothole or two?
