Shes talking about her grandson, 21yearold marcus west junior he was shot just after 7 this morning. I heard some shots and i came down and this young man was shot in front of his car i think he was in peace when he died because after we prayed, he took his last breath and thats helpful to me. West says marcus is not only her grandson but her son. The two would talk almost every morning before he went to work but not today. Shes not why someone would hurt her grandson. I dont know what hes doing outside, i dont know anyone would hate him this much to kill him. West family describes him as a happy young man now, hes shot and kill inside the street of oakland this year. A disturbing and all too familiar statistic in the city. The first suspect 19yearold ortiz was arrested month. Police are still looking for the third suspect. The video shows two women using victims credit card after the murder. That third suspect is identified as this young woman, 17yearold. The report comes after a 6 month investigation that was prompted by all the protest following the shooting death of michael brown.
