This is a mans truck that had a camper on the back and this is all thats left of it. Down the road off in the distance you can see where the fire is still burning tonight. Its a scary dramatic thing. Reporter joe says he saw the smoke then opened his gate to let firefighters by. It was going maybe 20

. So i just roared out, got in the middle of flames and they were like 20 feet in the air. Reporter the grass fire quickly burst into a blaze. , ktvu news. Other fires kept firefighters busy throughout the bay area. A vegetation fire broke out just before 1 00 this afternoon east of rohnert park. Fire crews attacked it from both the air and the ground and that fire is now out. Firefighters also scrambled to put out another fire in benecia for a time it threatened several buildings but no one was evacuated the fire started just before 3 00 this afternoon and the flames at one point forced authorities to close the east fifth street ramp on interstate 780. Firefighters tell us the fire is now out but they will be checking on it throughout the evening. Last night and into

Were always a small group that did everything in the brewery. Its heartbreaking to just be kind of pushed out of the facility. Reporter the employees tell me their work is rewarding but that moral had declined after a change in management. Ive never had a full 30 minute lunch break i think in a year and a half. Reporter how long have you gone without a raise . You can say four or five years. Reporter workers unioned in august. Weeks later the owners shutdown the plant sending them home. They believe the shutdown is retaliation for unionizing. I contacted union brewery. They said in a statement that the brewery produced in berkeley had a sour taste that wasnt normal. And said owe we have identified a problem with the brewery and we have taken the brewery offline and that theyve shifted production to another plant. I want to make a really good beer in berkeley. I love this place. I dont want them to close this place. Reporter marco and francisco have worked at pyramid 12 years. Both say they dont want the severance package. All say they want to return to this plant even if it takes months. Were a family, were still a family. Reporter workers say each month this plant produces more than 3 million bottles of beer and 20,000 kegs. Workers hope their union will meet with

Last week, a union concession lowered that number to 100 million. And this week, a new proposal shrunk the gap to 80 million. But even though they are getting closer theres also a question about the length of the contract. The unions want three years, b. A. R. T. Is insisting on four. We dont want to do a three year contract. That would put the renewal contract within the cycle of our contractors. Also means we increased the frequency to which the union has to go through all this drama. The unions have made movement on waste proposals. Weve made several in the last few days. The two sides also need to approve on pensions and health coverage. Were hearing from the heart broking mother of a teenager who just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time. Only on 2.
