[ applause ] that first moment when you fell into the crevice, what was going through your mind? >> well, i was buried in snow trying to fight my way out. i thought it could be the end. the first time i took a breathe and then tried to take a second breath. i dug myself out and felt like the worst was over with relief. >> and no injuries? >> lots of bumps and bruces in places i've never had them before but it could have been worse for sure. >> what was it like going and seeing your snowmobile a week later? >> pretty amazing. just getting down the first 3 to 4 feet was pretty scary but it couldn't have gone any better. >> you just fell 85 feet to the ground and just whipped out your camera. is it in your blood? >> i had to document it. i can almost put myself pack there when i watch it, but oddly enough it's not bad memories. after i dug myself out which took five minutes and i got my foot under me, i was on cloud nine so to speak. >> was this the closest you've come come come to death? >> well, i've had a few but this was up there for sure. hospital workers frantically try to pry that woman open. somehow that got stuck, the door is jammed, they can't get it open. inside a woman in labor, premature labor. >> no! >> rescues from the ambulance, it's supposed to be the vehicle of your salvation. >> you would think! these guys cannot get in there. the woman is in there in labor pains worried about the life of her child. they have no idea why this thing was jammed. the family suspects that because it was and old broken down ambulance that barely had a mattress in it. it doesn't sound like it was to the highest of standards and that left this poor woman being stuck in there. >> you have to rescue the mother from the van and birth the child from the mother. >> how did that go? how is she? >> according to reports, it took them about 30 minutes to get this door open. >> no! >> like three minutes, 30 minutes? >> up fortunately, they are able to get her out. she ends up delivering in the hospital. the mom and baby are okay, but the moments leading up to the delivery, incredibly serious. if you've got children, you know getting a phone call related to your kids can be terrifying, like this. >> what do you want?
