sending out partially nude pictures that he got off of smart phones of women he arrested. it was issued by his attorney. his attorney is telling us why he says he did it in the first place. ktvu's allie rasmus learned why an untold number of cases could be effected by -- affected by the allegations. >> sasha fleischman did -- sean harrington didn't answer questions. his attorney said his client is sorry. >> his apologies extend to the women who were victimized. they extend to law enforcement whose reputations are potentially tarnished. >> reporter: he faces two felony counts for illegally searching cell phones and forwarding pickthers womens had on their phones to -- pictures to the women -- to the officers of the women on the cell phones. >> if you take their nude selfies that is a crime. >> he resigned from the chp. contra costa county district attorney said other cases he was involved in are now under revow and could be dismissed. -- reviewed and could be dismissed. >> it is will end up with a trial. >> reporter: if convicted he could be sentenced to probation to up to 3 years in prison. allie rasmus, ktvu channel 2 news. a former cub saud leader was sentenced to -- scout leader was sentenced for child molestation. he pleaded no contest to sexually molesting a family friend when the boy was 12 and continuing to four years. police say some of the encounters were recorded on video. he is expected to serve 85% of his 14-year-old and register as a sex offender. police say a woman suspected in a blessing scam has been arrested in new york. according it the new york post the woman in this photo was detained by boarder patrol as she was on a plane last week. police say she convinced people that their valuables needed blessing and shes has been swapping the -- she has been swapping the items. the issue of public safety was front and center at a forum today for some of the candidates running for oakland mayor. >> that is the most urgent need, more police to do better policing. i have studied other cities like los angeles that reduced violent crime by 80%. if they could do it so can oakland. >> for me that is the issue in the race. it is the thing that has it greatest negative effect on our other challenges. >> only the top five candidates were invited to the forum. >> if we want to be safe we have to go beyond just adding police. we have to make night. he is the fifth doctor in that country to die from ebola. today the government reported 51 new confirmed cases of ebola in sierra leone. this comes as a doctor from ucsf is heading to liberia and he says universities need to do more to fight the ebola crisis in western africa. ktvu's david stevenson joins us live from san francisco with the doctor's criticisms about training and pay for medical volunteers. david? >> reporter: our john fowler spoke to the doctor when he announced his trip. he said it seems medical schools are unwilling to allow their own experts to go. >> my partners -- >> reporter: a journey he prepared for. >> medium risk. >> reporter: and prevention training that centers for disease control and prevention. >> i cannot allow fatigue affect my being cautious. >> reporter: he is headed to liberia for a month to help teach healthcare workers to detect ebola and triage patients. he leaves thursday but is also leaving notes on how american universals are responding to the crisis. >> they haven't stood up. >> reporter: he says medical schools failed to allow opportunities to train with the cdc and cover their salary and benefits during their trip. >> what we have seen is our statements that have discouraged the faculty and staff who are passionate and want to go. >> reporter: he is lucky. ucsf offered evacuation insurance to bring him back on a the state. a judge said kaci hickox will be able to move around freely while monitoring her health. she was quarantined outside a hospital in new jersey. a decision that she criticized. terms of the agreement will be in effect through november 10. 170 employees call the 104 story skyscraper home. 3,000 workers will move in early next year. one world trade center over looks the september 11
