Southern california where Authorities Say 14 people have been struck by lightening in Los Angeles County as rare summer thunderstorms sweep through the area. 13 struck on venice beach, some appeared to be in the water, others on the board walk. Crews transported nine people to the hospital where two are in critical condition. A 57yearold man reportedly in stable an after being struck in catalina island. Firefighters battered large flames and heavy smoke as the fire spread through two stores in colton plaza. Alameda county firefighters said a hair salon had had extensive damage. Other stores were open for normal today. In richmond, firefighters say a woman suffered burns to 40 of her body and a man had burns on his arm. At least one of the families is being helped by the red cross. A neighbor helped to save lives by knocking on peoples doors to warn them about the fire. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Investigation of a triple shooting that happened near Cesar Chavez School around midnight. One man and two women were shot. The 32yearold man died at the scene. The two women were taken to the hospital. The police are asking for the publics help for more information in this case. A man shot a pitbull that had reported been threatening people. Neighbors say two pitbulls were roaming around, acting aggressively. One woman said she encountered the dogs as she tried to get into her house. A man returned to his home and shot one of the dogs. Animal control took both dogs into custody.
