creating dangerous conditions on local beaches. the warning includes coastal areas to monterrey county and will be in effect throughout the evening >> family and friends in. vackerville community are mourning two teens that died in a crash. today, friends were building a memorial to the teens. police say their pickup truck was speeding when it went into an open field and rolled over several times. apparently, no one was wearing a seatbelt. all five were thrown from the truck. that stretch of road is known for racing and alcohol is a factor. friends tell us they are in shock. >> don't know how to put it into words >> i don't know why it happened. >> friends and family identified those killed at 20- year-old gilbert garcia and 16- year-old kristi brinkly, a candlelight vigil is set for this game. stanford versus uconn starts in about a half hour. line dancing, down at the stadium. they are taking pride in their status, admitting underdogs. the huskies are considered to be one of the bets, -- firefighters in marine county trying to figure out what caused an early morning fire that destroyed a home. it took crews more than an hour to knock back the flames. people inside were able to escape uninjured, but the home is a total loss. >> >> first-of-its-kind media message, tweeting about a bird rescue. maybe it should have been a quack. according to the tweet, officers assisted two sit dens rescuing six duck lings that had been separated from their mother. here is a picture of the officer holding one of the ducks. >> >> plans to expand the squaw valley skiing resort. two joined other athletes saying the idea of build building this would help the economy of the area. some residents are critical of the plan, saying it could effect water supplies, traffic and the views. county today, we are talking about a few spots near 80 degrees. santa rosa topped out at 80. same for concorde. san francisco beautiful. 70 degrees. no storms, but patchy fog that will drift closer to the coast late tonight into tomorrow morning. for the most part, clear skies and mild conditions. checking out some of the updated numbers for the 5:00 hour. san jose has topped out at 75 for the high, but they have inched a little bit. 76, that could be their high for the day. santa rosa in the upper 70s, san francisco has cooled off to 65 degrees. a bit of a breeze kicking in. winds out of the west, 10-20- miles an hour. for tonight, we have mostly clear skies. we'll take a live look outside looking out toward the golden gate bridge. beautiful. haze over the bay, but still a very nice sunday afternoon. tomorrow, a lot of sunshine. warm again, warmest locations, approaching the lower 80s, extended forecast, dry with temperatures cooling off by a few degrees wednesday and thursday. no real rain clouds to talk about in our five-day forecast, basically a quiet weather pattern with temperatures going up a bit and cooling down. we start out in the 40s to the lower 50s. vallejo, 46, for the most part, we are expecking clear skies to start out your monday morning. here's the overall forecast for tomorrow, coast in the 60s, temperature sensors, as you head inland, driving across the bay, more into the 70s. inland, upper 70s to 80 degrees. tomorrow, 3:00 or 4:00, the readings back up to 82, 83 degrees. warmest day of the week, i think will be on tuesday. today was warmer, we had a bit of an onshore breeze, a chop on the bay water high pressure is the big story developing off shore. keeping us dry and warmer, with that, the temperatures widespread 70s, warmest locations will be in the lower 80s. by tuesday, a little stronger sea breeze. we'll shave off a few degrees coast side and everybody cools off by wednesday and into thursday as the high begins to move out of town by mid-week. here's our forecast a few patches of fog. mostly sunny skies the yellows wake up to the 70s. so the warmest locations tomorrow approaching 82 to 83 degrees by 3:00 for your monday afternoon. here is the forecast, we'll break it down beginning at 7:00 tomorrow morning. 45-50 and by lunchtime, we'll have it beautiful out there, mid-60 to mid-70s. afternoon highs on track 68-83 degrees. temperatures for tomorrow about the same as today, a little warmer, especially out toward antioch, concorde. san francisco, 73, santa rosa checking in monday afternoon at 80 here is a look been reporting on the crack down of drivers -- a major add campaign to combat distracted driving. >> reporter: nearly 80% of teens and young adults admit to reading text messages while driving, a fatal mistake for some which is why for the first time the federal government is launching a nationwide $8.5 million add campaign to combat distracted driving. in the add, a beautiful day drive between three friends takes a turn for the worst when the driver takes a second to reassess missing the stop sign. about 3300 people were killed in distracted driving crashes in 2012, many caused by texting. 10% of all road deaths are caused by distracted drivers. for every two seconds you look away from the road, you double your risk of being in a car crash it's easy to see why. doing basic math, if are you driving 60-miles per hour and you look away for two seconds, you have gone almost the length of half a football field. >> reporter: this kicks off the national distracted driving crack down from april 10th to the 15th when law enforcement will be aggressively ticketing drivers that text and drive. similar programs in california and delaware cut texting and driving by a third. bete shaw's daughter liz was nearly killed in a fatal car accident april 7th, 2012. liz was texting while driving, responding okay to a text from her mother. >> we have learned from my family's story. teen-age boy and punched and kicked a woman walking a dog. a neighbor heard her scream and said he charged at him when he opened his door. the male victims were not hurt, the female victim with the dog suffered scrapes and bruises. >> >> a shooting at a house party in fairfield last night near the mission village shopping center, witnesses say a group of teens at the party started to argue and a fight broke out and then someone started to shoot. >> it was a confrontation and one thing led to another. people were talking about guns. came outside. the party was getting shut down. >> all four of the victims were under the age of 18. they were taken to the hospital and are all listed in stable condition. >> >> be prepared to pay a dollar more to cross the golden gate bridge. the toll will continue to rise 25-cent as year after that temperaturing in july of flex year through july of 2018. some drivers told us the bridge commute is getting too expensive. >> as a college student, we are already over our means. it gets hard to have to pay tuition and to have to pay for bridge tolls as well. >> the bridge -- a toll hike will bring in $138 million over five years to help erase a rainy, gloomy sunday here in killeen, texas. a tight knit community that focuses around forthood. so, when tragedy strikes, this town rallies together. many area churches shifted their focus to the victims, families. at the first united church, the pastor lead a prayer for the fallen. lighting four candles for the three shooting victims and one for the victim, singing songs, including "amazing grace." >> tragedy is never the last word with the resilience and support of each person in situations like this, i believe this community truly knows and lives >> reporter: meanwhile, the army continues their search for answers as to why specialist lopez snapped. witnesses say he was upset over a leave of absence request. he went to hr office seeking a form for time off and was told to come back the next day. he stormed out, retrieved his handgun, came back in and opened fire, first on a supervisor and shooting others randomly before eventually killing himself. at last report, the crime scene was being processed by the texas rangers and the fbi. this coming wednesday, a memorial service will be held on post for the fallen. people killed by the massive mudslide in washington. a 16-year-old, one of three people memorialized yesterday. 400 people showed up for her funeral. her husband was rescued from the slide by neighbors and survived. another four people were buried today. there are 30 confirmed deaths with 13 people still missing. >> really good friend. i was hoping i could have closure. i'm so blessed that the community has stepped up and taken care of everybody. >> the mud slide struck two weeks ago yesterday. search teams are still working their way through the debris field. >> >> a high school student in west sonoma county is recovering from a case of whooping cough. according to reports, the teen had been vaccinated against the disease. according to a recent study, california saw a rise of whooping cough in 2013. mostly because parents refused to vaccinate their children. in february health officials confirmed our first death from looping cough since the 2010 incident. >> >> today's rock and roll half marathon was a show stopper, not everyone was thrilled with the theme sunrise at san francisco's beach, 11,000 people crossed the starting line in the rock and roll half marathon. not everybody was ready to run. >> at 6:00 this morning, we were u.s. defense secretary delivered a two pronged warning, the u.s. will send two police destroyers to japan to counter the north korean threat. i issued a warning to klien as well. >> washington is
