Com our web team has posted a slide show of conditions across the country. Weve been showing you this nasty weather around the country. But lets go to chief meteorologist bill martin, and bill kind of steady as it goes. We need the rain. We talked about the governor declaring a drought and coming in here into the state of california its been very dry. Unprecedented really as john fowler talked about as well. As we look at the satellite imagine. What i pick up on is wasted opportunity. Because you see all this moisture, this is all trapped. If it could get pulled in it would bring us significant rainfall. But the jet stream is way to the north and its not going to connect with this. Typically thats what happen this is time of year. Those things phase up. Just caught up in the polar storms and the rain comes through. But this year that has not happened. Temperatures today were about where they were yesterday. A little cooler. We had clouds, we had sun. We had a little bit of everything. And then as you look at the winds theyve changed direction. They were coming more offshore the last weeks. Now they are starting to come on shore. Things are changing right. Those are the clouds coming in today on shore concord. Winds are flowing from action to land. Then offshore you know this. The winds are blowing offshore. These winds are coming out of a more westerly direction. That means theres a change in the weather. Were going to see that coming up here. Tomorrow partly cloudy or tonight partly cloudy. Tomorrow sun with clouds and in the extended. Theres a chance of a sprinkle. So as you see this first kind of system go through tomorrow. That just tweaks temperatures down a degree or two. This next system has a little more push. And that brings us that slight chance of a sprinkle north of the bay area. We could see some tkreuz drizzle in a place like luxburg. But for the most part its a noon event. So the computer model does this. Here we are at 5 00 tomorrow right now. Here we go into tomorrow morning theres the clouds. And the fog is at the coast too. Coastal fog has come back. And that coastal fog already here tomorrow morning. Wednesday night. Here come that is chance of rain thursday morning. Where is it . There it is. And then thursday afternoon. Clears out. Then everything stays north again. Its that. Thats just a weak weak system. That is not going to do what we need it to do. The forecast as we go into the next couple of days the five day forecast shows more clouds, here is your am chance here. And then after that, the clouds keep coming. Again like i said these are the clouds that would be bringing us rain if they were attached to the jet stream. They are kind of attached to the jet stream but the main flow of the jet stream. The jet stream is staying way north. The jet stream staying way south and were just caught in the middle with a dry pattern. Were back into the low 60s. Really . Yeah. Its so cold.
