The flames are in an open space. This is near some homes. Several Fire Departments are responding. The fire went to two alarms. An air tanker has been deployed and dropping retardant on the blaze. Investigators are looking into what caused a fire this morning in a east oakland home. Smoke poured from the roof of the house near san antonio park. This was after 10 00 a. M. This morning. Firefighters had to tear apart the roof to get into the fire. The house was abandon but the fire came close to spreading prompting firefighters to call for a second alarm. 25 people on scene, it took that many to get the fire under control 30 minutes later. Nobody was hurt. The fire was reported by several Oakland Police officer whose were at the house to follow up on a report of a burglary in progress.
