Lets start with a look at all that overcast sky, a view here at stormtracker 2, we even have the possibility of some drizzle coming our way, has to do with the weak system that is moving through, but for the most part we are looking at mainly dry conditions and, again, plenty of cloud cover this morning. Heres a look at where some of that moisture actually remains over portions of Northern California and we do have the slight possibility slight possibility of maybe a few sprinkles in the morning hour. You can see moisture off the north bay coastline and as we move through the next few hours until we get into about noontime you may have picked up on a little bit of blue here and there. In any case, its not really going to be enough to be any benefit, its just going to be cloudy out there, its going to be cool and again perhaps a few sprinkles to start your saturday. As we get into the afternoon, we will be partly cloudy, notice along the coast not so much. We are looking at mostly cloudy skies and Cool Conditions at the coast for today. Well, in santa clara authorities are trying to figure out who vandalized an historic and controversial symbol in the south bay. Between thursday night and friday morning, some person or group tagged a 14foot granite latin cross at memorial cross park. The cross has been there since the 1950s when the Santa Clara Lions club donated to mark the site of an 18th century catholic mission. They removed the graffiti from the cross yesterday. Thats so mean to do because it stands for god, the cross, so whoever did that maybe has no religion. The cross was the subject of a lawsuit filed last month by a santa clara atheist and the freeman from freedom from Religion Foundation that advocates the separation of church and state. The santa clara man spoke to ktvu off camera and says the cross violates the first amendment. Authorities arent sure whether the vandalism is connected to the lawsuit or if it was a random act. They are basils that you allow to flower. You were telling me about this amazing greenhouse, which i dont know that everybody can fit a greenhouse like this in necessarily but if you can, highly recommend it. Its amazing, right . It is. We really love this greenhouse. It really connects this base through the entire property. You can see through the beautiful gardens of cornerstone, through this greenhouse, and then we have some of our succulence here, other parts of the garden we are not showing right now include a lot of drought tolerant plants. We live in the western state. We are in a drought state so we have a lot of really beautiful low water plantings. Absolutely. And then the team also from the same diablo cross fit gym, we talked to them about what it takes to get ready for this elite competition. Get up. That a girl. At diablo its about both individual competition i am sandra pachelle, competing as a individual for diablo cross fit. And its about the team. Ipart of the diablo naho team. Im jamie lee, a coach and athlete at diablo cross fit. Im kitlin cross. Men and women who are defined in many ways. I am a coach, i am a wife and i am a sistermom. I have a competitive background. Came from collegiate baseball. Reporter but who all have the cross fit games in their sight. Want to win a game with my team. To make the cross fit games as a team and win the whole thing. Make the cross fit games and if i make it, my goal is to place top 10. Reporter they do and prove they are some of the fittest athletes on earth. I think its pretty hard. I mean, its a huge Time Commitment and theres a lot of incredible athletes out there that didnt even qualify. Reporter it is a goal that wont come without work. Just getting the daily work that people dont see on a daily basis, coming to the gym at 8 00 in the morning when you dont want to work out, staying for three or four hours, coming at night when you get off work when you dont want to work out. Reporter it doesnt come without humility. If you want to be better, you need to constantly face what youre not good at. You need to face your fears and that takes a little bit of a toll on your confidence, a little bit. Not only are our muscles sore but our egos are a little sore sometimes. Reporter and it doesnt come without selfdoubt. Im not going to lie and say there are not times when i dont want to quit. There are definitely days and week periods when you where you dont want to do anything. I think thats one of the hardest parts. Reporter they know what happens when they dont commit. Then we will fall short like we did last year. My first year competing we did not i played, unfortunately, a role in that so i worked on my weaknesses. Last year i had a little issue as far as i wasnt prepared and i was a weakling on the team and for myself this year i have worked on all my weaknesses. But commitment is not just about success but how you face your weaknesses and so they work. Theres a lot of mental strength involved just trying to always kind of challenge yourself and, you know, learning your limit and kind of constantly trying to push those limits. Reporter they work when they dont want to. I cant do my job, its going to affect our team, you know, and thats something that we cant have. I have people counting on me now so i got to put the work in. Reporter they work because they need to. I dont like failing. When i do something, i like to put my all into it. Reporter sacrificing food. I like pizza and i love chocolate. Reporter and partying. Kind of have to be sipping water in the corner and youve got to take it on as a lifestyle. You got to make sure youre in bed early and we are not a whole lot of fun outside of the gym sometimes. Reporter they do it because i love doing it. Its fun. Ive been doing this for 10 years and every year it gets funner. Reporter and because they know. Most important thing is you have to believe you can do it. Reporter and hard work pays off. I am dedicated, i can work really hard. I may not be the fastest, the strongest, but i will outwork a lot of people. Reporter if you commit, you get results. We are on the podium at the end. Reporter and there are few things sweeter than that. Seeing the faces of all of the rest of our community, family, friends, its a proud moment. Trying to get that one special moment, again, worth the whole year. Are you tired . Im not feeling worthy. Are you tired . I did the stair master yesterday. Does that work . Yes, it does. Oh, my god. A lot of weight lifting going on there. Good luck to them today. I know alisandra, her first event is littery two hours from now. Tomorrow they go. And they sound so determined to go out and do it. Dedicated. I know. We are going to hide behind the weather wall. Right. All the smoke and mirrors of tv, right . Dont have to work out. We have cloudy skies.
