A little bit of slowing as you drive into south city and san bruno. In the east bay, highway 4 is slow through pittsburg. 680 is slowing after 242. Marin county, we will talk about that in a moment. At the bay bridge, it looks ordinary, which is to say a 25 minute delay. In marin, as you know the road in fairfax is blocked on the way out to wood acre. County work crews have been busy throughout the morning trying to clear debris from the roadway. The soil gave way overnight, causing earth. Rock and trees to come down the hillside. And all of that debris is blocking or had been blocking sir Francis Drake boulevard near canyon road. They cleared a lot of it from the roadway. There was another slide in the same area earlier in the week. The road reopened on monday and again another slide overnight. A lot of drivers were surprised this morning to see that sir Francis Drake was closed once again. One of the commuters we talked to a short time ago that had to take a detour to get to work was the post master in the community of wood acre. Now we have to deviate up to lucas valley road and come around the back side. But if you have seen that slide and if theres any question about it, a whole lot of mountain could come down. I would rather err on the side of caution. Reporter and thats exactly what they are doing. Even after things get all cleaned up and the lanes of sir Francis Drake boulevard are cleared, the roadway could remain closed throughout the rest of the day at the very least. According to one of the workers that we spoke with this morning. There is quite a bit of concern about more mud coming down from the hillside. Crews will come in theyre going to bring Tree Trimmers in and take down a couple of trees that are potentially impacted by the slide and then they will spend the rest of the damon toring the hillside and make sure that the earth doesnt continue to shift in the area. They will be putting in k rails judge university in case mud comes down the hillside. This sounds like an allday closure while they continue to monitor this mudslide and make sure that things are not moving in this area before traffic is allowed back through here. For one of the survivors in the plane crash in san jose the plane that was bound for san jose two weeks ago where three people died, we have word now that one of the survivors, stacy pierce, has injuries so bad her legs had to be amputated. Her husband says she cant breath or eat on her own. Stacy is still in the hospital, listed in Critical Condition with third degree burns over 90 of her body. The other survivor, 46yearold sylvia pereles is still in the hospital. We dont know her current condition. However last friday she was listed in Critical Condition. Today marks three years since the disappearance of Malaysia Flight 370. Families and friends of some of the victims attended a private Memorial Service in australia today.
