The officer is being remembered as having made a big difference to the community especially by some of its younger members. According to chp, he was headed to the school on his Harley Davidson motorcycle riding between a nissan pickup truck and a big rig when he collided with the pickup truck and fell under the big rig. Federal investigators are shifting through the wreckage to figure out what happened before that speeding train smashed through a concrete and steel bumper and then slammed into a train station. A 34yearold woman who was waiting at the platform was killed by falling debris. She had just dropped off her 1 yearold daughter at day care. More than a hundred people were also hurt in that crash. The ntsb will try to figure out how fast the train was going at the time of the crash. He was convicted of strangling his sex partner in Buena Vista Park and setting the body on fire. I think the thing with the arson is scary, but i think it points to a bigger problem. We are not dealing well in society with repetitive offenders. Now, one of the companies called prop expects to start operating daily Ferry Service between berkeley, emeryville, redwood city in San Francisco at the beginning of next year. Another company tide line marine group says they will offer Ferry Service between berkeley and San Francisco beginning the end of october. There is no Ferry Service between berkeley and San Francisco. Governor jerry brown signed off on 10 million in funding to get californias earthquake Warning System up and running. Earthquake light shaking, expected in 59 seconds. The office of Emergency Services says the money will almost double the number of sensors statewide to about 1100.
