Those are the locations of where these crashes happened earlier this morning. We should mention that the scene has been clear for quite some time. Go ahead and look at video now. This was 880 northbound near dakota in fremont. At one point all of the northbound lanes were closed because of a three car crash near the exit. According to chp, this happened at about 2 15 this morning. They say it started with two car thief suspects who may have stolen two separate cars at a car dealership somewhere in fremont earlier this morning. One of the car thieves crashed into two other cars near dakoto. A person had to be extricated by the Fire Department. After the crash, the suspect immediately went into the other car that again, was apparently stolen and took off northbound on 880. They say that car eventually crashed near ten tennison road in hayward. Officers say it wasnt them chasing the suspects. They werent in pursuit of Law Enforcement agencies. Donald trump is joining his running mate mike pence at a morning round table discussion with Union Members in cleveland. Then he will campaign at a fair in youngstown. Ohio is a very important Battle Ground state. No republican has won the white house without winning ohio. Hillary clinton is also beginning her labor day in cleveland with an appearance at a labor day festival. Shes also attending another labor day event today in hampton, illinois. Clinton will then be back in the bay area a week from today for a big fundraiser. We hear tickets are expected to go for as high as 100,000. That will be for a special reception with clinton. No word on where that will be held. Well, were now three weeks away from the first president ial debate. And were hearing that Hillary Clinton and donald trump are taking very different approaches to their preparations. Reporter its not exactly kennedy nixon, but its hard to imagine two more polarizing candidates. Clinton has spent her entire life in politics. Its likely shell engage in practice debates with the stand in for trump. Plus the campaign has enlisted the ghost writer behind trumps book the art of the deal to figure out what buttons to push to provoke trump. Trump appears to be taking a different approach. We feel like one piece of our debate prep is going out and giving speeches. Reporter forget typical political strategies like mock debates. Trump reportedly wants no part of that, fearing it would make him come off as inauthentic. That comes with risks. Back in 2012, president obama openly complained about having to do debate prep. And he even cut his practice short to visit the hoover dam before his first event with mitt romney. What happened, its widely believed that obama got his clock cleaned before regrouping for the second debate. Trump cant count on doing what works well for him in the primary debate. Its a much different thing. He cant let four other candidates get into a fight, and let him drop back and come in for the kill like he was able to do over and over again. Reporter then there is the johnson factor. Libertarian gary johnson is polling well for a Third Party Candidate but is short of the 15 threshold the commission requires in five specific polls to be included on the debate stages. Still, he is hopeful. Were at 10 flat on those 5 polls and thats an increase really of probably about 4 consensus over the last 6 or 7 weeks. Were optimistic that were going to get into the debates. Hes not there yet and hes running out of time. The commission on president ial debates will make its determination as to who makes it onto the stage for the first debate sometime over the next couple of weeks. The president said that clinic kaepernick is simply exercising his constitutional right, and while the president understands why some have taken offense to the quarterbacks political stance. President obama says that kaepernick really has generated an important conversation about Racial Injustice in this country. My suspicious is that over time, hes going to refine how hes thinking about it, and maybe some of his critics will start seeing that he has a point around certain concerns about justice and equality, and thats how we move forward. President obama spoke about kaepernick during a visit to china, during the g20 summit. Theres a long history of athletes using their note rye notoriety to make statements. He was forced to cancel because of the training schedule but he will be visiting the church he says sometime in the near future. During yesterdays services, former mayor willie brown took to the podium and spoke, and compared kaepernick to some of the countrys great civil rights leaders. A young man who has expressed himself, who had expressed his displeasure with this country. At a moment when this country was not being conscious of how our hurtful and racist is still really is. There has been no date set for the Colin Kaepernick visit to First Baptist church. Reverend amon brown says it will be open to the public. If you want to make plans, i would say Stinson Beach north looks better than points south because theres just too much fog to the south. Overall, the fog is still there. Water temps came down. That certainly does play into a cooler forecast for some on the coast. Theres a little bit of a breeze. 40s on some of these lows. Santa rosa 47.
