Model shows a little bit of coverage here with the possibility of a popup shower throughout the afternoon hours and heading into the early portion of the evening as well. Clouds will thin out by thursday morning and well be dry to wrap up the year. Alex is standing by with an update on the roadways and black ice out there. It is a concern. I know the sun is beginning to rise and it will be less of a concern. But we have the freezing cold temperatures that mark is talking about and black ice is an issue, especially in the inland communities. This is what we saw this morning. Chp issued an alert for the onramp from fish ranch road to westbound highway 24. You can see where this is there on the map. So bear in mind, this is not highway 24 itself but for the onramp. A couple cars were driving on that ramp and spun out because of icy conditions on roadway. So they decided to shut it down for a couple hours. That was about an hour ago. They were probably going to wait till the sun comes up there. Keep that in mind, icy conditions certainly a potential with this cold weather. Let me show you what things look like further up the road, highway 24 westbound coming out of the walnut creek area. If youre heading westbound with all the folks there, it will be busy but no slowdowns there. Toll plaza, you can see the sun beginning to come up and hopefully the temperatures will bump up a little bit. The toll plaza looks great for this hour, no slowdowns in the area. But there is a bit of slow traffic going west across the incline of the bay bridge into San Francisco this morning. Pam, all yours. New this morning, investigators are looking into whether squatters may have caused a house fire in concord. A battalion chief sent us these images of the fire, flames engulfing that home at 3rd street and willow pass road right near the concord station. Crews knocked down that fire about 3 00 a. M. But the chief told us squatters were seen inside the home before the fire started but that everyone made it out safely. Another story we are following, two stabbing victims in san jose are in Critical Condition this morning. They were attacked at a Fast Food Restaurant last night by several people. Reporter we just spoke with some employees inside this carls jr. Restaurant that you see behind me and they told me the victims had been eating inside the restaurant. When they finished, they went out and thats when they were attacked. This is in the evergreen area, not really a hot spot for violent crime. Officers were called to the area for a double stabbing just after 6 00 last night, a male victim reportedly ran toward a gas station and the female victim ran toward a Grocery Store in a nearby Shopping Plaza. Police found both of them suffering from at least one stab wound each. They were rushed to the hospital and are in Critical Condition. Police spent hours investigating and the victims were attacked by a group of male suspects who then jumped in a car and left the scene. This may be gang related, so still a lot of questions here in this case. One of them would be did the victims know the suspects. San Francisco Police are busy searching for two men suspected of robbing three french tourists on twin peaks. Police say the tourists were taking photos monday morning near Tank Hill Park when they were robbed of their passports, cameras and money. One of the victims, an 81year old man, was knocked to the ground and passed out during the attack. If you have information, call San Francisco police. The police in San Francisco want your help this morning identifying two people who attacked another man on a muni bus. Surveillance video police hope will lead to more suspects. Reporter good morning. Muni riders are concerned, especially those who ride late at night or early in the morning. Police released this video hoping someone will recognize these two suspects. Police say this attack happened november 3rd at 1 45 a. M. On board the 14 mission near mission and 6th, where we are. Police say a 55yearold man got into an argument with two other men on the bus because he suspected they were trying to rob other passengers. The argument led to a physical confrontation and one of the suspects wearing a blue baseball bat is seen coming on and off the bus at least four times to attack the man. But the victim stands up for himself, punching and kicking at least one of the suspects. Wed like to make an arrest and identify who these two criminals are because if they did it to this one male, theyre going to do it again. I usually sit up front and just pay attention. I dont wear head phones or talk on the phone. Reporter at one point the victim took off his jacket and appeared to return to his seat and one of the suspects came back into the bus and ran off with that jacket. Its unclear if anything was inside that jacket. Police describe one of the suspects as 52, and the other at 59. Its also unclear why the driver didnt close the doors when this happened. The Oakland Raiders dont seem to be impressed with the citys efforts to keep the team in the city. Today is the deadline for the city of oakland to submit a Financial Plan for building a new stadium. A fivepage letter was sent to the nfl detailing why they believe the raiders should stay in oakland and not move to the l. A. Area, but that letter did not include a Financial Plan. The mayor said she anticipates dialogue with the nfl in the coming weeks about that. We have been clear about what our constraints are. We are not willing to do a direct subsidy of stadium construction with public dollars. Oakland is still paying off millions in debt from the 1996 overhaul of the coliseum. Local leaders insist no public money will be used to pay for the new stadium. They are offering 60 acres of land and 6,000 Parking Spaces but the raiders owner reportedly wants to control the entire coliseum. He referred to oakland city leaders as this today is also the deadline for san diego and st. Louis to submit plans to the nfl, hoping to keep their teams from leaving the area.
