A man accused of setting fire to as many as 40 cars is expected to make his First Court Appearance today. 36yearold james bishop facing multiple felony counts including arson and possession of flammable materials. He was caught after he allegedly burned the toyota at the home and benicia. He has a criminal record for Sexual Assault but not arson. His father believes he is innocent but the contra costa authorities call him the worst arsonist ever. In san jose weve been talking about the firefighters on the scene of the fire on the eastside of the city, and the fire started around 3 am this morning. Rob malcolm joins us from the scene with the latest. Reporter take a look at this building, and you can see the San Jose Fire Department is pretty much finished mopping up. Theyve spent the last half hour hosing down the building and looking for hotspot. They appear to be pulling the crews out of the area. Lets go to the video that we shot earlier this morning. Take a look at this video, the crews were called here around 3 am this morning. They found the building fully engulfed in flames and we heard from the San Jose Fire Department and they said the fire started on the outside of the building spreading quickly. The flames were up and the roof area which is why the Second Company was called him. This started out as a Oreilly Parts store and it was boarded up. There were no injuries or fire load on the interior other than the potential risk of collapsing. We had a collapses own but other than that it was fairly routine and thankfully no injuries. The court ruling in the second trial may have a big impact on the sierra lamar murder case and the trial of antolin garciatorres continues today but legal experts say could be overshadowed by what occurred in another murder trial. The judge set aside the conviction of two men and a 2009 staffing after concluding that the Santa Clara County sheriffs Sergeant Herman leon gave false testimony. He also testified against garcia torres. The fact that this was the basis of overturning another murder conviction is highly relevant and the question will be what did he testify to in the sierra lamar case and what the defense have tried the case differently had they known about the credibility issue. Yesterday two of the friends of sierra lamar testified. The police are trying to identify the suspect in this attempted Armed Robbery and they hope that someone will recognize this man in the surveillance images. A young man is being credited for preventing a fiery attack in hayward inside the dennys restaurant.
