reporter: 20 minutes ago, police in des moines released information on woe they are looking for. suspected shooter, scott michael green, considered armed and dangerous, people in the area are being asked to contact them immediately, don't approach him. he is wanted for deadly shootings of two police officers, authorities received a call at 1:00 am regarding gunfire. when they arrived on the scene, they found an ochesser shot, in his patrol call. 30 minutes later, a des moines police officer was shot in his vehicle, after responding to the incident. >> it doesn't look like there was any contact as they sat in their cars that's the best we have got, right now, both of them were in their cars. >> reporter: the police sargeant from des moines, voice biupset by what happened. with the gunman on the loose, there is a clear and present danger to all officers in their area, so they are doubling up on patrols instead of having their officers work alone. we are checking with our local police departments to see if they will be taking similar precautions, we'll have another update in an hour. >> an off duty sheriff's deputy shot and killed a suspect late last night in stockton. stockton police are investigating the incident. it happened at 10:40 last night. the off duty deputy was confronted by two armed suspects, wearing masks, fearing for his safety, the deputy fired. the suspect shot was pronounced dead at the scene 6:05, new from overnight, bart trains are running as scheduled, following a minor explosion hours ago. bart said a third rail insulator blue up last night at the montgomery station. the explosion damaged a bart train that happened to be passing by at the time, but the train was able to keep going. the problem shut down the montgomery bart station temporarily and caused system wide delays that lasted until early this morning. morning. >> we cleared out the folks, isolated the problem. train did sustain a little damage luckily, no one was hurt. pleasantton area and trying to get to the freemont area on 680, it will be kind of a testy commute here as you drive-thru. looking at the peninsula where 101 is beginning to get busier. things are beginning to get more crowds, but still, it is early enough for you to get a jump on what will be a pretty busy commute. a bay area uber driver accused of groping and stalking a female passenger. in other passengers. police say the 35-year-old dropped off a woman and a man at their home alpine road near the city line. the woman, in her 40s, said she called the driver after realizing she and her husband left a phone in the car. when she went to get the phone, the driver allegedly kissed her and groped her breast and then the driver called her an hour later, telling her he was outside of her solomon tried to force a girl into his car. she was able to get away, police say detectives took solomon into custody at his home yesterday afternoon. he was booked into the county jail on charges her husband was planning that attack in june. he killed 49 people before he was killed by police. she said her husband beat her repeatedly during their five year marriage the fbi has questioned her extensively and she says she's speaking out now to let people know how sorry she is about what her husband did. >> city attorney supporting a lawsuit claiming that san francisco's bail system favors the rich. a traditional bail system allows defendants with money to walk free while those who don't have money are kept in jail until they can see a judge. the amount is fixed by a schedule that does not take into account in a person will jump bail >> a bail is he lifts the price of freedom does not serve the interest of the gust or the public and unfairly discriminates against the poor. >>
