The young man driving that car involved in the collision had just left the Oakland Airport according to investigators, when he hit the man on the freeway. The driver of the car stopped and cooperated with investigators. He was not hurt in the crash. We understand he was not found to be under the influence. Chp as trying to identify the man who was walking on the freeway who was struck and killed. At this point we will do our best to identify the person that was struck and killed we are working with the coroners office.
