And there have been a few reports of a tenth to a third of an inch north of santa rosa and calistoga. A couple hundredths around napa county and marin county and sonoma county. Word of a wreck at 238 in hayward. And now theres word that these gentlemen may be having words. And maybe more. So chp is on the way. 6 02 and lets go back to the desk. San jose Police Believe a man described as missing is a murder victim but they have not found his body. Janine de la vega in san jose right now and you say the police want our help. Reporter yes. It is rare that Police Actually say a murder has happened when no body was located. And police were called here to gp sports in the cambrian area of san jose. The last time kyle myrick was seen was friday. He was missing for hours under suspicious circumstances. Officers started interviews and did a search that showed evidence of a murder. They arrested steve hlebo on saturday for murder. He owns a 2003 white gmc truck similar to the one in the picture. Police believe it may have been associated with the disappearance. And theyve recovered the truck and are asking for the publics help. They want to know where the truck was between friday night and saturday morning. Friends have been conducting searches including one at lexington reservoir. They are Holding Onto Hope and want to bring myrick home. Police have not released a motive for the murder or what the connection is between myrick and the suspect. Janine de la vega in san jose, thanks, janine. Super bowl l at levis stadium will be the Carolina Panthers against the denver broncos. The broncos beat the patriots. The kicker missed an extra point in the 1st quarter. And it would prove to be costly. Its the first extra point attempt missed in nine years. Denvers defense was on brady all game. Forcing incompletions, and brady almost engineered a comeback hitting gronkowski for a touchdown. The broncos came away with a 20 18 win. And theyll face the Carolina Panthers on february 7th. Carolina scored early and often, including a 22yard touchdown run from the 49er Carson Palmer committed six turnovers, including four interceptions. Two areas in particular, embarcadero and market and the surrounding streets are going to be clogged. Also the area around the Moscone Center for the next three weeks. One of the attractions is super bowl city. And thats taking place at Justin Herman plaza. And theyve got cones set up. Some barricades. The southbound lanes of embarcadero are closed off for the event. Traffic next to us on the northbound side is still open. You can see cars passing right here. They have parking control officers making sure drivers went around the closure. Market street is also closed from the Ferry Building to beale street for the next three weeks. Super bowl city is sort of a fan fair that theyll have with concerts and activities. And its a pedestrian only zone. There are muni and bicycle detours affecting the area. It will cripple the city. Do you think its going to be that bad. Hopefully, everything is balanced. The city will get the money. The people will be happy. And everything comes at a cost. The other problem area for the next three weeks is the Moscone Center where theyll have the nfl experience. Its an interactive fan experience. And people who live and work in the area near the Moscone Center are used to events in that area. And the Municipal Transport Agency expects a Million People to come to San Francisco between now and february 12th for the super bowl attractions. Thats how long the closures and detours will be in effect from now to february 12th. People who just need to get around the daytoday thats going to be challenging. The snow measuring device used at Reagan International airport was buried in the blizzard leaving Weather Observers no way to record the true amount of snow for hours on end. We have made some progress and theres a lot more to do. Reporter forecasters never expected new york city to miss the all time snowfall total by 1 10 of an inch. 26. 8inches of snow filling central park. But all the white stuff could not keep new yorkers down. The governor lifting the travel ban and broadway shows and museums opening up for business. The storm dumped snow from the gulf coast to new england. 30 people were killed from a combination of car accidents, heart attacks, and Carbon Monoxide poisoning. And ground travel was not the only problem. There were 12,000 weekend flights canceled. Guys we expect them to try to catch up today after canceling so many flights. Theyre starting to set that up and driving in the city is not going to be great. The san mateo bridge out to the highrise. No problems getting to the peninsula. We have a system brushing us thats produced rain in mendocino county. A third of an inch around ukiah. And a couple hundredths, santa rosa, petaluma, lake county, and drizzle around here. He was already in jail when he contacted a man he believed to be a hit man but was an undercover officer. He wanted the man to shoot the women and dismember the bodies. He was arrested for raping one of the two and faces charges of solicitation for murder and other charges. Being held without bail. A man who killed his two nephews in Southern California is under arrest in hong kong. Well show you video of the man. Hes wearing a black hood in the back of a police van in hong kong. Hes accused of beating his teenage nephews to death in arcadia on friday and then fleeing to china. Hes accused of attacking his wife, sending her to the hospital. He was arrested as soon as he landed in china. Police in woodside say a prowler who broke into a home while the people were sleeping may have struck before. A woman confronted the burglar after he broke into the house saturday night at 7 45 p. M. The lights were off. A couple in their 60s were in bed and the woman threatened to release her dog and the suspect ran off. The incident is similar to one tuesday on Mountain Home road. In that case, the suspect confronted the homeowner by shining a flashlight in his face. A masked gunman robbed a shell station on ralston avenue 9 45 saturday night. Police used dogs to try to track him and he got away. The same man may have committed robberies in millbrae, menlo park, san bruno, and burlingame. Many children are medicaid are not getting the dental care they need. Three of four children eligible for coverage did not get the regular checkups or fluoride treatments they needed. 25 of children did not go to a dentist at all even though they had medicaid coverage. And too few dentists accept medicaid and theres not enough education for parents about the importance of dental care for their kids. Theres a strong earthquake in southern spain. The magnitude 6. 3 earthquake hit 100 miles southeast of the spanish city of malaga. The quake was followed by six smaller after shocks. Hundreds of calls came in. Several buildings lost power. No serious injuries at this point are reported. There was a powerful earthquake in alaska early yesterday morning. Southwest of anchorage. A 7. 1 magnitude quake. And on the san mateo bridge its moderate heading to the opinions with no major issues, and slow traffic approaching the bridge. There are concerns this morning about several homes sit on the grounden a crumbling cliffside in pacifica. Crashing waves have been sweeping away chunks of the coastline. Alex savidge has more on what the city is doing. Reporter a number of homes and apartments in pacifica are in a precarious position this morning. The cliffside just beyond these buildings past the fence is being slowly washed away in some spots because of the powerful el nino storms. Lets show you drone video. Some of the structures sitting on the edge of a bluff that was giving away in some spots. This erosion is caused by huge crashing waves and the soaking rainstorms that weve had in the bay area in recent weeks. Its mainly 300 block of esplanade avenue one man who lives in a neighboring building that appearing to be in danger says he doesnt doesnt think hell have to leave. Everyone is staying put, you know, so thats the long and the short of it. Reporter just sort of what you have to deal with, life in this part of pacifica. This is no different than it was in 2009 and 2010. Reporter that man said despite how bad things appear, he is encouraged by what he saw in the drone video. There are piles of rocks on the beach. And they are covering the cliff face with concrete. The city of pacifica has declared a state of emergency trying to get state and federal aid and the city council will be discussing the declaration at the meeting tonight. Back to you for now. A manhunt goes on now in Southern California for three inmates who escaped from jail using bed sheets tied into a rope. Authorities at the Orange County mens central jail noticed them missing friday morning. They cut a metal grate, climbed to the roof. And rappeled down four stories with their homemade rope. We will not stop until these individuals are back in custody. And i am confident that will occur. Its not clear in the men had help from inside or outside the jail. Authorities are offering a 50,000 reward for information leading to their arrest. Such a crazy story. And this is a story youll see only on two. We sat down with raymond chow for the First Time Since a jury found him guilty of racketeering and many under. And while his past is troubled, he says hes innocent. Brian flores talking with us about why chow says his conscience is clear. Reporter i listened to the interview with amber lee. And he was smiling a lot. And theres a confidence that he is innocence but a jury found him guilty. Charges range from racketeering to murder. His demeanor during the interview was one of a person who seemed at peace with himself and not an intimidating person. In the beginning he said any question you have openly ask me. He thinks the fbi stacked crimes against him because of his past even though he says hes a changed man. Why you come after me so hard is my past. And i do get away with a lot of crime from the past. But today, im a changed man. And even im sitting in here waiting on my appeal, i know im innocent. I dont have that guilty conscience in my head. Reporter he became a changed man after serving 10 years in prison for drugs, prostitution, and money laundering, and being released in 2003. He tried to leave San Francisco and a life of crime and federal investigators kept him there as a scapegoat. A lot of people offer me opportunity on the streets. People wanted me back in the business and i told them no. And they offer me money. Back in the gambling business. Why not . Because im done with that. Reporter he noted his work with the community and trying to keep kids from leading a life of crime. Hes not surprised by the jurys decision but if he felt they judged him before they knew who he was.
