And we have new information about those two suspects killed in that gun battle with police. They will now being identified as 28yearold farook and his 27yearold wife. Hours after the mass shooting, police shotted the black suv the two were driving not far from the original crime scene. Police say farook worked for the county Health Department for five years. We are also learning that farook had traveled to saudi arabia earlier this year and returned with a wife. He had met her online. According to coworkers. Coworkers said he left plaintiffs exhibit after for about a month in the spring. Yesterday morning, farook attended a Holiday Party, but reportedly left after an angry dispute. He returned a short while later apparently with his wife, both dressed in military clothes armed with assault rifles and hand guns and opened fire. They fled the scene only to be tracked down by police hours later. One of the tips we were following up on took us to a house in redlands where we made contact with the suspects vehicle that we were looking for. Police were called to a neighborhood in a Bay View District after a report of someone being stabbed. A though the they spotted a man matching the suspects description holding a knife. Police ordered him to drop it multiple times. He didnt. So they used a bean bag gun to try to disarm the suspect. It had no effect. They tried pepper spray which also didnt do anything. They tried a higher power bean bag on him. The man still did not drop the knife. The police chief says that is when officers feared for their lives and fired shots multiple times and you can hear in video. One of the officers cut off his path. He went towards the officer and that officer and four other officers fired in defense of the officer he was moving towards. The man was up against the wall. He approached the police, and then the way he was backing up, if anything, and then he was shot. That witness you just heard from wanted his identity concealed because he fears of retaliation because he didnt agree with what officers did. San francisco public defender told the chronicle after watching the video, it appeared the person was not posing a direct threat and did not have to be shot. The camera ducks away so you cant see the very last action the suspects takes. But police say they are examining the video, and this is very much an active inceleste grace.
