Reporter since midnight when the crash occurred, the sir francis road in marin is about a mile and a half west, closed in both directions so that investigators could get at the scene. You can see the tow truck behind this, pretty dark, and not sure whether you can see this very mangled vehicle in the back of the tow truck. Three people were killed in the crash, and chp got a call on a crash around midnight and we do not yet know that a just or the identity of the victims, but they appeared to be three women that appear to be young adults. Chp says that speed appears to be a factor, going around the curve, inherit it hit the power pole and the tree afterward. Edwards drove off in the white truck, hitting and killing the employee. They were quickly able to apprehend the man without incident. We are learning more about the north bay father accused of shooting two vallejo Police Officers while in the coffee shop, the excon wanted for questioning in the x demo shooting of his twoyearold son. Reporter as far as the motive, investigators have not said why the man tried to ambush the vallejo Police Officers on sunday night. The officers were sitting just inside the front door of the starbucks on lincoln road off of interstate 880 when the parolee walked into the front door armed with an assault weapon, illegally modified, 70 round magazine, and adam powell was wearing body armor at the time. He pointed the gun directly at the two officers that were taking a coffee break at the time, and he tried to fire the gun but the weapon jammed. Powell ran off down the street in the officers chased after him, and about a block away the officers opened fire on powell, hitting him three times as he was trying to clear the weapon. Reporter Authorities Say that powell was wanted for questioning after the twoyear old son accidentally shot himself at the home in suisun city hours earlier on sunday. That is twoyearold, adonis, and when they arrived at the home powell was gone along with the gun that was apparently used in the accidental shooting. Reports of rape of the two Santa Fe Springs romping the School President to make changes and how Sexual Assault reports are handled, and we are at the university where the public pressure is forcing the school to react. Reporter there was an outcry from students that it heard about the rapes, many learning from the media, and not from the university. The University President ended up sending a letter out late yesterday to students and faculty saying that the Campus Police will reevaluate when the university should reissue a campus alert. One was not sent informing students that two females were allegedly rapes over the weekend over an offcampus party, and the freshman water polo player had been suspended and temporarily banned from the campus, and they need better communication following a Sexual Misconduct case, and they plan on identifying points of contact for the victims. There will be a series of campus conversations for the students to talk about the gravity of the Sexual Violence and harassment, and we will talk about the changes to see if it will make a difference. Putting up posters accusing a professor teaching palestinian studies of supporting terrorism, and the posters were quickly removed, the University President calling it unacceptable and bullying behavior. Authorities recovered bodies from a creek in a remote area of Central Arizona sunday morning just about 100 miles north of phoenix. The bodies have been identified, and sheriffs deputy say that they were playing near the waterfall with family members and friends late saturday afternoon when they disappeared, and search teams were unable to get to the location until the next day, and they say that part of the creek is generally considered a safe swimming area but swimmers are being urged to be careful around the waterfalls.
