Criminal charges against a group of squatters using a little known law trying to take ownership of a property in oakland. The group filed an affidavit to take possession of the property under the adverse possession law claiming that the home was vacant and that the group would pay taxes. Prosecutors say the owner paid a gardener to maintain the property and ordered the squatters to leave when she discovered they were living there.
