There were a total of nine people injured, four of them were seriously injured, but the injuries are not life threatening we are being told, and the people were in the first train car that fell into the creek. Some had back and spine injuries, and Authorities Say its a miracle that no one was killed. 214 people on board the ace train. And those injured were transported to the fairgrounds and they describe the frightening ordeal. It felt like someone slammed on the brakes and then it jerked back and forth, and stopped rather abruptly, and we could see the dirt coming into the door, and with the broken windows. Also looking at interstate 880 into east bay and at the bay bridge toll plaza looking okay. Westbound 580 will be a bit busier, more people that would normally be on the train, and may have to drive. The carpool lane is there, and the new carpool lane, and you can use it by yourself if you pay a fee, but you have to have a special transponder. Cloud cover is moving in, starting off with son for some, but north bay is going to cloud pretty fast. Temperatures stuck in the 50s to low 60s. Crews are back in pacifica to prepare for the demolition of the second Apartment Building on the cliffside. A chain link fence is up around the 320 esplanade, and they will check for asbestos on the property, and on thursday they will tear down the building. This was red flagged in 2010 after part of the cliffside gave way. The city officials in pacifica say that was the building is torn down, they will have to store up the cliff to protect utilities running under the street. We are interested in what will happen to the street, the asset that we want to protect because the street carries all of the utilities for the apartments and houses, and businesses in that area. The demolition will take 4 to 5 days, and the other red taggeduilding was demolished last month, and a third building yellow tagged in january will likely be torn down. Investigating an incident that involved in officer shooting, killing a stabbing suspect last night, and about 6 15 pm, a report of a stabbing near san jose state, and the officers saw the suspect and two stabbing victims outside of the home. The officer said he fired his gun because the suspect still had the knife and the neighbors heard several shots. We just heard five or six shots, that is all we know. Very shocking, and ive never seen anything like this before in here. The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene, and the stabbing victims are listed in critical condition. The department of Justice Holding a listening session about police conduct, a review requested by the police chief and the mayor in reaction to the Police Killing of mario woods in december.
