coming up in just the next couple of days. we've seen that heat. slowly creep up over the last couple of days this week, but today is going to be that peak day of heat. and that's why the national weather service wants you to be careful, it warns the warm weather to warm temperatures can quickly become dangerous. they remind everyone never leave kids or pets in a closed car, where light, loose or maybe they'll go in a little bit later. salmon tail bridge looks pretty good heading out to the high rise and we haven't had a lot going on in the east bay commute have been kind of looking around fact, if you're driving into san francisco on this friday morning, i think you're gonna like what you see with just a little bit of slowing at the toll plaza. but it's not backed up as it normally is. i think a lot of people are, you know, maybe not going right now. or maybe they'll just work from home. we're not going all this is a look at the same mateo bridge that looks pretty good. the dumbarton bridge has also been very light, and we haven't seen a lot of silicon valley problems this morning. i do want to mention though that on the coast highway one. don't be surprised by this. we still have that pretty serious crash on highway one right near the tom lantos tunnel before that area used to be called devil's slide while they close devil's slide, you know that but as a tunnel there now and there's a crash. and if you're driving, let's say from montara up to pacific are you can't get through it right now. you would have to go the long way around. go up 92 up to 80, and then come in the back way. that's until further notice because of that serious crash. 7 10. let's go back to the desk. okay, sounds cold case that spanned more than 40. years finally solved coming up. people , um to wellness and recovery. this program is the best of both worlds. it brings our forensic services. and our community behavioral health together in a really new and integrated partnership. no they also plan to provide services for up to two years to those who were recently released from the san bruno jail. 7 17 of those who are behind the wheel already have there a seagoing salads a pretty good bet. yes some do. i'm sure. you know. right now we have to go right to the coast where it's a little cooler. but the traffic is not that would be highway one north bong, we have some slowing approaching crash right near the tom lantos tunnel coming out of montara on the way to pacific and by the way, going the other way. i wouldn't recommend it either. if you're leaving pacific guy you want to get back down to half moon bay. i would just recommend going over the hill and using to 80 to 92 instead really both ways until they get this crash, which is pretty serious taking care of. let's talk about the south bay right now. we have a little slowing on 101. but that's about all in that silicon valley community right now. at the bay bridge. there's a small delay here westbound at the toll plaza. 7 18. what about today's wedding? let's bring steve back in. well for most. it's going to be hot sal. there's no doubt about it, especially inland. a little bit of fog is out there. closed 50 in san francisco, but we had 51. northwest mountie. ah, blow northwest at oakland north that's right above the claremont, all of italy's now northeast above the oakland zoo . little peak north side of town, north northwest, big rock north amount better alice speak , but it's not strong. i mean, 30 middle peak, but we're not seeing 50 or 60. thank goodness sevent and bay eighties upper eighties to low nineties around the bay, the nineties and one hundred's for those inland. all ready for some seventies for sun. a lot of mid sixties upper sixties nevado san rafael, already pushing the upper sixties, their conquered in livermore 10 degrees warmer than yesterday. this time, petaluma, mrs. 11 degrees nine for sfo nevado and eight for many others. nevada also nine degrees warmer. half moon bay is now plus four. strong low, though in the gulf of alaska. it won't do anything today, but it will. starting saturday afternoon evening. i think the coast cools down tomorrow. inland temps. it'll take until sunday. today will be the hottest day. there might be a little breeze. oh kicking in late today. we've kind of seen that. but that didn't stop temperatures yesterday from eighties and nineties that fog bank those very shallow now very thick down on the deck, so it won't make much of an impact unless it's right near where you are, but by sunday, everyone gets in on it. and by this time next week, it looks like another cool. oh, drops in so i get a couple of days of warmth, and then it's out of here and cooler weather spills right back in the seventies, eighties be back in our forecast, and another woman coming forward, claiming abuse at the federal women's prison in dublin. what she says happened to her after she reported the abuse. from ktvu. fox two news. this is mornings on two. well, good morning to you and thank you for joining us. welcome the mornings onto i'm dave clark gasia mikaelian. it's friday, june. 10th and weather is our big story today affecting everyone. everyone except those who live in san francisco. steve, we're going to be feeling 90 degree plus heat, aren't they just about everyone unless you're on the immediate coast? yes but san francisco, cisco could go from about 72 to about 86, depending on but there is a little bit of fog around point reyes parts of the marine code very tiny. that's it, but i think it is a sign of things to come. maybe by later tonight could get a little sea breeze coast and bay but inland you have to wait late saturday more likely sunday. so some like it hot, teeny bit of coast fog, but it'll be hot for most. we're looking for eighties nineties to a few low one hundreds. alright it's 7 30 on a friday friday light or something picking up it is friday. light out there, steve, there is mostly good traffic out there if you're driving into san francisco from the east bay, i think you're going to like what you see here at the bay bridge if you have to make your way into the office, also on the cemetery and on the dumbarton bridge. we've had some pretty decent commute. there's a live picture of the same mateo bridge. and the dumbarton bridge also looks pretty good. i do want to mention that if you're driving out of half moon bay don't go up high with one there is a crash near the tom lantos tunnel that has made traffic in that area. very slow. so if you're leaving pacific go up and use, you know, go up to 2 80 get out of the area by using 2 80 go up to 35 use to 80. or if you're driving, let's say from el granada, get over the hill on 2 80 don't go up and down highway one until they clear that crash 7 31, let's get back to the headlines. another woman has come forward claiming abuse at the federal women's prison in dublin. sheri dillon says she suffered punishment after punishment inside the prison when she told superiors about a fellow inmate being sexually abused by a male correctional office, she said she suffered retaliation. she said she lost good time served. and she was handcuffed while talking on the phone with her husband. i will never tell another inmate that they should go to the, um report anything to anyone higher up. now john kostelnik is the western region vice president for the correctional workers union, he says. well, there are several open investigations on staffers. very few investigations have been opened on managers. he says. the staffers are afraid to speak out because of retaliation. yeah agencies created this culture of blackballing people. um and we're seeing that consistently up in dublin right now, um, and it's very unfortunate. a spokesperson for the bureau of prison, says the agency can't comment on potential allegations of staff misconduct. protesters say they want the state legislature to reform the way they investigate sexual misconduct allegations against lawmakers and staff. a group named stopped sexual harassment in politics or ship demonstrated at the state capitol members are former legislative employees who say they were sexually abused at work. they're calling for public hearings to evaluate workplace conduct units that investigate misconduct claims. loopholes in the system, a complete lack of oversight and policies that are not codified and are not actually followed by leadership have led to a system that uses and abuses survivors. the senate president pro tem and assembly speaker responded, saying, we are evaluating the current process for the workplace conduct unit in order to get potential improvements in place this legislative session. everyone wants the legislature's culture to get better and will use all the tools. it takes your time. 7 30 for the congressional committee investigating the january 6th riot at the us capitol, heard it held its first public hearing. it called the attack by supporters of former president trump and attempted coup and new video of the deadly interaction was shown at that hearing. we heard first hand accounts from capitol police officers injured that day, describing the violence. that we talked to uc hastings law professor david levine about the january 6th hearing. and he says a key piece of evidence presented during the hearing testimony from former attorney general william barr. and from ivanka trump. part of the narrative has to be mr trump knew that he was peddling lies. not that he was just mistaken that he was under false impressions, but that it was an innocent mistake. he knew that these were lies, and so that they have people who are so central to his administration, including his own daughter, saying, look, i believed that this was not true. his handpicked attorney general who carried so much water for him and then later on his vice president. mint employees. professor levin also said this is just the beginning of the case. and more evidence is sure to come out as a hearings continue. the next hearing is set for monday morning. police are investigating a drive by shooting that killed a 16 year old boy and critically wounded as 18 year old cousin. witnesses say that someone in a car opened fire on the two teens as they walk near concordia park and evergreen cemetery in east oakland. distraught family members at the scene of the shooting identified the victim as 16 year old kiev's brooks of hayward. they say he was in the area visiting his grandfather when he was killed last night. witness says a car pulled up to the team. it was walking on the sidewalk on 64th avenue. this was just a child with a backpack on what i did see was like a black it looked like a two door acura. all tenant windows. it, uh, stay there for a minute and shot shot shot. and then took off. the police chief laurent armstrong, met with the victim's family said investigators say they think the shooting involved a high powered weapons. the chief is asking anyone with information on the shooting to come forward time is 7 36 san jose police arrested two people in connection with the shooting and stabbing inside of a public library. that we're told the police arrested 20 year old raul hernandez, as well as a 14 year old boy. both are charged with attempted murder. the prosecutors allege the two suspects were involved with the man being shot and stabbed at the hillview library monday afternoon about 20 people were in the library at the time. including children and staff. they were not hurt. police say that shooting is gang related. rafael police say recent gun buyback took hundreds of guns off the streets, including some ghost guns and assault weapons. more than 550 weapons were surrendered last saturday. people who turned them in received a total of $50,000 weapons included 193 handguns, 200 rifles, 149 shotguns. officials say 28 were assault weapons. seven others were illegal because they had shortened barrels are stocks and forward ghost guns, an estimated 11,000 rounds of ammunition was also turned in an animal shelter in southern california, is barring anyone who doesn't support gun control from adopting its pets. the shelter. hope pet shop in 1000 oaks has added the question. where do you stand on gun control to its standard adoption questionnaire for potential pet owners? the organization's website and the shelter's owner referenced the deadly mass shooting at 1000 oaks bar in 2018, saying the shooter had volunteered at the shelter. the owner says she put the new policy in place after the school shooting and you validate texas saying that did it for me. i had to do something . wow alright, time is 7 38. we have to go to sound. castaneda you're you're following things happening in our commutes. that's right, dave. and, gosh, you want to go right back to the peninsula, because if you're on highway one and normally, we don't have a lot to talk about here on highway one, but we have a closure of northbound highway one near the tom lantos tunnel, which is some people call it the devil's slide tunnel, but you know the area i'm talking about . well, there was a pretty serious crash there and north dont highway one is not passable right now out of montara heading to pacific. if you're driving down south, you can get as far as the tunnel and you might be able to get through, but i wouldn't recommend it. i would recommend going down the peninsula using to 80. so do what you have to do to get over there. if you have to go a long way, or maybe you can wait until things are cleared up, and hopefully that will happen when the next hour bridges backed up a little bit here at the toll plaza. it is not a typical dates a little lighter than usual. and also traffic is looking good once on the bridge. i also want to keep mentioning that this weekend is the big race at sonoma raceway. nascar is coming back, and, of course, that means there's going to be a lot of traffic over the weekend for the race to just be aware and don't get up there and be surprised by that. 7 39. let's bring steve back in with today's weather. thank you, sir. yes sir. alright we'll get to it here. we have a hot forecast from any inland. the good news is if you don't like the hot, it won't last long. probably by tomorrow night. i think you'll notice a breeze and then by sunday the temperature will fall off the table there. wanna creek today we'll go with 100 degrees saturday 92, then sunday 78 degrees coolest of the week was monday whether the hardest will be today. then it'll start to drop big time sunday and the monday forecast highs for today for antioxidant jose santa rosa, palo alto. navarro in oakland. our all eighties nineties are low, 100. so it is june, right? that's what the calendar says. sometimes we do get hot around here. but if it's not going to last, 67 71 76, that's the temperatures aloft at sonoma mountain, mount diablo. that's very long, very warm for ben london mountain to be 76. you're over by point reyes. maybe tamales. inverness you can either see the fog or probably be in it, but that's about it, so it's not going to make much of an impact today. but by tonight tomorrow probably will because those water temps are cold. new zealand tempers are hot. all it needs is a little help and will get it from a system coming in late saturday sunday, not much of a breeze. i mean, middle peak north side of mount tamil passes north of 30. after that, it's kind of northwest. more so than, thankfully north northeast so seventies eighties over by the coast, eighties, low nineties around the bay nineties and low one hundred's for those inland already seventies for some, mainly sixties, but navarro 71 conquered 70 brentwood, 78 67, hayward, san carlos, palo alto and sunnyvale. we are running much warmer than 24 hours ago, with nevada saying come catch me if you can, plus 16 compared to yesterday at this time. paddle uma's in their mountain view it plus 11 in livermore plus 10, so it's going to be a hot one today. rain rain rain continues up in the pacific northwest, but that system will eventually dig far enough down to bump the high out of here. it won't be today, though, will start on saturday and then sweep through on sunday for a big time dropping the temps. any fog tonight or tomorrow would be right down on the deck too shallow. too much high pressure, squashing it at the basis will lift on sunday, allowing it to fly inland and by this time next week and maybe talking about another unseasonably cool system coming in, probably not any rain on that one. believe it or not, there's hints around the 21st 22nd of a stronger system will so the pattern continues. seventies eighties nineties and 100 today tomorrow. still some hot tips inland and coastal bay will start to cool down. even those well inland will drop on sunday. youtube alright, save time. 7 42. speaking of going up, bart is raising its fair prices coming up how much it will cost you to ride bar then when the increases will begin coming up in our next hour of mornings on to growing concerns about
