A Police Standoff continues this morning near downtown san jose. This began about 6 30 last night when a woman called and said a man pointed a gun at her inside a home. She was able to escape and was told the man was inside the house with several weapons. Between north 12th, julian and washington was blocked off. Police said theyre not in a rush here. Theyre waiting for the right time to make contact with this man. He has a lot of firearms. Weve already confirmed that. Obviously, we want him to come out and surrender peacefully without there being some kind of engaugement. Its dangerous for us. Police belief the man is inside the home. They said they have not identified him but they have yet to release that information. We do have ktvu fox 2 news on the scene. Well, there is a happy ending to the search for a family. A National Guard helicopter spotted the missing farther and two children about 8 00 last night in an area about 10 to 20 miles from their original camp site near the community of downyville in sierra county. 41yearold nick last vlahos and his daughters were in an ambulance. The family is said to be in great shape. They disappeared tuesday afternoon. They planned to drove through remote areas on their way back. Its believed their Toyota Tundra truck may have broken down or slid off the road. Rescuers found them hiking. They dont need to go to the hospital. Its good news. San jose Police Released enhanced photos of a man who attacked a 13yearold girl inside her home. Police say the man followed her home from school on tuesday and forced his way into her house in san joses west valley. Inside home Surveillance Video shows the man grabbing the girl and pushing her up against the wall. The girl punched him and he walked away.
