Another critically injured following a shooting that occurred just two hours ago. Ktvus brian flores is at the scene to help us sort out the circumstances of this double shooting. Good morning, brian. Reporter hi, good morning, tori. This continues to be a very active investigation for San Francisco police. Were live on 7th. The shooting happened on the 500 block of nato m. Ntaoma. From what were gathering from sfpd, they still havent talked to us. But weve gathered information. The shooting happened at 5 00 inside whats believed to be an apartment complex. Police originally got the call of an Domestic Violence call between two people. We dont know what caused the violence. Shots were fired. When police arrived, two people were on the ground. Again, police say that one person was taken to San Francisco General Hospital with whats believed to be life threatening injuries and one person was declared dead at the scene. Waste been talking with residents who say they heard some gunshots about the time it happened. We spoke with another person as well who says stuff like this is happening more and more here in the so m. A neighborhood. We soma neighborhood. Were working to gather more information. Brian, thank you. 7 04. San bruno police want to know if a shooting this week is tied to violent street gangs. Two young men were injured wednesday night on hensley avenue. Both of the shooting victims are expected to survive. Say the two men were targeted and the shooting may be gang related. Investigators are looking for two men seen speeding away from the shooting scene in a dark colored car. Happening today, president obama is coming to the bay area. Hes in the middle of a three dayvisit to california. He will arrive in San Francisco this afternoon. Alex savidge is live in the city with the fundraising thats on the president s agenda. Remember the Mountain Lion in Mountain View that caused a tense scene five months ago . Well, its now dead. The Santa Cruz Puma project says it was hit by a car last week trying to cross highway 80 near redwood city. Back in may, this Mountain Lion wandered around downtown Mountain View for nine hours. It was eventually tranquilized. I remember we showed you this and released back in the hills. Over the last couple of months, the Mountain Lion was tracked to the pacifica and daly city areas and then to the Crystal Springs reservoir. And then to the redwood city area. A bay area rescue group is looking for new homes for 2,000 hens. Those hens were rescued from an egg farm in enCentral California and they were in Central California and they were facing death because they werent making a high number of eggs. Rescuers at a sanctuary in vacaville called the animal place and say theyve nursed these hens back to health. Prior to being pulled out of the cages, they had never spread their wings, run, walk, flown, taken a back in the dust, laid in the sun. These hence arrived at animal place in september but theyve been cleaned, fed, vaccinated. Now they are ready for a permanent home. The adoption fees range from 5 to 10 per chicken. But there is a lot of fog over there. It will start to move in rapidly. Much better conditions over the weekend. Sunday looks clear. Well get a northerly breeze. Today is the only iffy day. Low clouds and fog have lifted. They got helped along by a system yesterday. That will continue the theme today. Stanford plays with fireworks. I would take a jacket. It will cool down. Palo alto police out there searching for a flasher who keeps exposing himself in public. Its happened three times this week. The latest incident was in south palo alto. They are feeling uneasy this morning. We are wait next to monroe park. This is where the latest incident was. Of course, a lot of children come play here. While the parents are keeping their eyes open for anyone suspicious, they are relying on police. A spokesperson said these cases are a top priority for the department. Monday afternoon, a 14yearold was walking near the school when a man in his late 20s or early 30s in a navy blue pickup truck pulled up next to her. He had his pants down, touching himself staring at her. This Police Sketch was released of the suspect. Authorities believe the same man then approached a 10year old girl the next night who was walking her dog near byron and seal avenue, about a halfmile away from mondays incident. In that second case, the suspect was driving an older white volvo. He asked the girl if she wanted to touch him. Parents say its disturbing and some wonder what to tell their children. Police say a woman in her 20s was riding her bike when a man pulled up in a newer white bmw asking for directions and then exposed himself. The suspect in that case is dade to be in his 40s or 50s. Police are not sure if the same man is preying on the woman in the third case or they they are dealing with a second man. Mountain view police out there searching for two men responsible for a homeinvasion robbery. Now, this happened Late Wednesday morning in broad daylight on san marcos circle. The two men broke no a house, tied up a man who lived there and they escaped with a large amount of cash and a cell phone. That victim was tied up for several hours but he was not hurt. Investigators say the robbers may have escaped in a dark colored fourdoor sedan. In past months weve documented student violence at the schools in antioch. Nearby businesses say the unruly behavior is so bad, some are closing early before schools let out just to keep students away. Ktvus Tara Moriarty is in antioch where weve learned some teachers are actually afraid for their lives. Tara . Reporter yeah, the situation here at Deer Valley High School has gotten so bad, some teachers have quit. We are waiting for some students and parents who are dropping their kids off at school to try to talk to them. The last time we were hear, they did mention it was a small percentage of students that were causing the trouble. Most fights were happening after school. Now the violence is happening during school. You may remember this cell phone video that we showed you back then of a fight breaking out at a nearby Shopping Center after school let out. Some fastfood Restaurant Managers decided to close their doors because of it. Now teachers say violence is happening at the school or some have transferred out or retired earlier because of safety concerns. Students are cursing at teachers. There are fights in classrooms. Teachers are sometimes trying to prevent the fights from happening and are getting injured in the process. Reporter one parent said at last nights meeting that teens were gambling and using drugs during school. Sh is a very packed School Board Meeting that happened last night. The School District has fired four security guards and is also forming committees with police and parents to tackle the problem. Were hoping to get reaction from parents and students. A High School Student in Southern California will face a judge for the first time today after he was arrested for allegedly threatening to kill teachers. Police in yucca valley arrested mathew ross wednesday. Officials say ross had threatened to shoot, stab and assault facultiant black rock high school. Ross reportedly told police he wasnt getting enough respect from his teachers. A very serious threat when we interviewed the teachers mentioned in the threat, they were in fear the next day when they came to school. They were afraid to come to work that day. They locked the classrooms that day. Police say when they went to rosss home they found guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, knives, swords, hatchets, even cross bows. He was arrested on suspicion of making a criminal threat. 7 38. San Jose State University making several campus reforms because of claims of racial bullying. Last year an africanamerican student accused four white roommates of making racial slurs and clamping a bicycle lock around his neck. Those roommates were charged with misdemeanor hate crimes. School administrators say diversity education for the student will expand as well as sensitivity training for the staff. Supervision of resident halls will be tougher. Administrators at Berkeley High school are investigating after a noose was found hanging from a tree from the campus. A School Safety officer found a rope tied in a noose dangling from a tree in the middle of the school last thursday. Investigators are checking into the incident as a possible hate crime. Now, students have been shocked and angered by this. It should be taken way more serious. They should do a real investigation. That shouldnt be played with. I feel kind of like angry. At the same time, sad. On wednesday, the school sent home a notice giving warrants details of what was parents details of what was found pl School Assemblies and classroom discussions are planned. Investigators are checking into whether the noose may have been a suicide attempt. You may recall 21yearold man not a berke had i High School Student hung himself at the school early this year. San Francisco Police say this was an attempted murder suicide. It happened after 5 00 this morning. Want to show you the scene. We got closer on the 500 block of natoma. Police continue to investigate what happened after this shooting took place after 5 00 this morning want to go to video shot after we arrived. From what were gathering, Police Originally got the call of a Domestic Violence dispute. From what we understand it was between a man and a woman. They were in some type of relationship. But we also got the call that shots were fired as well. When arrived, two people on the ground inside the apartment unit, one person as we just heard moments ago was pronounced dead at the scene. This is the male suspect police are saying. Another person, a female victim was shot multiple times in the upper body. She was quickly transported to San Francisco general with life threatening injuries. Were working to get more, an update on that victims condition. Weve been talking with some residents as well this morning who say they heard some gunshots about the time it happened and they are not surprised it happened. This seems like a pretty normal occurrence in this area. I would say daly and they were drinking. Later that night, jason park was killed when his friends car crashed into a tree. Now, yuset was arrested for manslaughter and contributing to the delinquency of minors. She was released on 40,000 bail. Jason parks mother admits her son and friend should have known better but shes upset that an adult, a mother of two gave those kids alcohol. It helps but it doesnt bring my son back. People are pretty happy that the 880 ramp is nice coming into the city and there are no major problems. Back to the desk. Palo alto police are searching for a man or men preying on girls and women by flashing them. The first two incidents happened in the north end of town near schools. The latest one happened on the south side on miller avenue janine de la vega is joining us live in palo alto. You are at the latest location. Good morning, janine. Reporter police will be meeting with the victim near monroe park so they can make another suspect sketch. The flasher actually called out to her to get her attention. But at this point, its unknown if its the same man who exposed himself to young girls. Police have prioritized this and have called in extra units. Late monday afternoon a 14year old girl was walking near the school where a man in his late 20s or early 30s in a navy blue pickup truck pulled up next toker had. He had his pants open and was touching himself while staring at her. This sketch was released of the suspect. The investigators believe the same man approached a 10year old girl the next night who was walking her dog near byron and seal avenue about a halfmile away from mondays incident. This time, the victim told detectives the man was driving an older white volvo and asked if she wanted to touch him. And yesterday afternoon, it happened again to a woman in her 20s. Police say she was riding her bike when a man pummed up in a pulled up in a newer white bmw. The suspect in that case is said to be in his 40s or 50s. Police say their detectives are focusing on these incidents. Our goal is to stop the behavior now so that we dont have to deal with anyone else later and no one else gets hurt or injured. They are putting more unmarked cars on the main route kids are using for school. Whoever is doing this is looking at the news too and knows that will be happening. Today San Francisco police will tell us the nail of the Police Officer who shot and killed a car burglary suspect tuesday night outside at t park. Now, last night, police chief greg suhr talked about the shooting during a town hall meeting. On tuesday night, police say they were patrolling the area around at t park because of the big crowd going to the giants playoff game. Police say they saw three men break into a car. Chief suhr says 26yearold 0 shane evans had a gun and would not obey Police Orders to drop it. Evanss family was at the meeting and raised questions about the Police Version of what happened. Its of grave concern to question the Police Narrative that they want us to believe. Were definitely gonna look into this because this seems very suspicious. Police say evans pointed a gun at the Police Officer, forcing that officers to shoot back in selfdefense, killing evansed and wounding another burglary suspect. A 28yearold from san leandro. Police say a third burglary suspect was captured trying to run away. Administrators at Berkeley High school are investigating a disturbing discovery on campus. A noose hanging from a tree. A School Safety officer found a rope tied in a noose dangling from a tree in the middle of the school last thursday. Investigators are looking into the incident as a possible hate crime. The discovery has shocked and angered students. It should be taken way more serious. They should do a more thorough investigation. In my opinion, i feel like angry but at the same time sad. On wednesday, the school sent a notice home to students detailing the discovery. School assemblies and classroom discussions are in the works with the staff meeting addressing the issues set for monday. Investigators are also checking into whether the noose may have been a suicide attempt. A 21yearold man who was not a Berkeley High student hung himself at the school earlier this year. Violence is an issue at a School District in contra costa county. Antioch schools are dealing with the unruly behavior of a few students. Its frightening nearby merchants and scaring off teachers. Now teachers say the violence is happening on campus. Some have transferred out or retired earlier because of safety concerns. Police say eventually a man pulled out the gun. Fired at the woman hitting her multiple times in the upper body. He then fired the gun at himself when police arrived. He was pronounced dead at the scene. It remains unclear of the circumstances behind what led up to the shooting, but police say theyve been called to this same apartment before. It appears that we have two shooting victims. We have a female victim shot in the upper body. She was strans ported to San Francisco general hadnt. She was lifethreatening injuries. The male is the suspect. After he shot the female victim, he imposed a self inflicted gunshot wound and was pronounced dead here at the scene.
