Now, mehserles attorney, michael reign, has said that grant himself stole the relationship when he when he committed murder and was sent to prison. Grants mother has been serving a life sentence for a 1985 murder. He has been in prison since before he was born. He talked to him by phone on a monthly basis as an adult. Its really heartbreaking for me to see that reigns is out telling folks there was no bond or relationship between the two of them. Thats not true. Were also finding out more about the richmond mother facing murder charges tied to an amber alert face. 35yearold alicia ortez is accused of killing her estranged husband then abducting their three children. Ktvu news learned she got a restraining order against her husband last year claiming domestic abuse. A judge lifted the order last month. Now, ortez and a male companion are facing murder charges. There will probably be oobl charges but at this point were mainly focusing on the homicide itself and bringing the children to a safe place.
