This Morning Police are searching for a masked man who opened fire on a car that had just left a concert at the Concord Pavilion. The gunfire struck and wounded the female driver and a man in the passenger seat. It happened last night while the two victims were driving ennuying on ignatio valley road. After posting a 7 minute Youtube Video laying out his plan, 22yearold Elliot Rodgers stabbed or shot six people to death. Police say he later took his own life. It began at his apartment when he stabbed three people, all of whom were from the bay area. He then fired shots from his car killing three people and injuring 13 more. Reporter as we learn more about these victims we learn more about the close ties they have to the bay area. Were in the neighborhood of george chen, one of rodgers roommates and first victims. George chen was a Computer Science major and former ymca camp counselor. Friends describe him to us as quiet and reserved. In a written manifesto he said part of his plan was to kill their roommates in his sleep so they would not interfere with him carrying out the rest of his murder spree. They are still coming to grips with the fact he was antarcticaed by rodger in a targeted by rodger. Were also learning more about james hong. Friends describe the student as one of the smartest people they knew, and they say they also are coming to grips with the fact he was murdered by his roommate. They say hong had an at best complex relationship with Elliot ElliotElliot Rodgers. Elliott once had hong arrested accusing him of stealing a candle. Elliott had just like a Scented Candle and james took it for whatever reason and put it in his room. He called the cops on shane and got him arrests and he had to spend like twelve hours in jail. Weve also learned the identity of the third victim found in that apartment, david wong. Weve learned he is from fremont, another bay area young man killed in this spree. One of the first victims of Elliot Rodgers. Its unclear if he was a roommate or simply visiting at the time of this incident. Investigators say chp officer Stephen Rutledge broke both legs after a woman behind the wheel of this suv slammed into his patrol car during a traffic stop. Ashley carlson was the passenger in a car her friend was driving. She attended rancho catati high school and today would have been her 18th birthday. The Memorial Service will take place at 6 00. American involvement in vietnam lasted from 1959 to 75 and the care for Wounded Soldiers returning from the war the new Army Medical Center was built in 1969. The 129th rescue ring will do a flyover. In just one hour volunteers will place flags at the galveston of veterans in Valley Memorial Park cemetery. That ceremony starts at 9.
