effect right now with highs predicted to be as high as 17 feet. it's not just the high surf causing problems, but we could see the wind too. >> reporter: it is very windy, we've been here since 5:00 this morning. it's been windy nonstop. in the last half hour, we felt the temperature drop and looking outside, we seen the wave come closer to us. that's because high tide is about an hour and a half from now. you can see a pretty rainbow. it means there's probably more rain and precipitation heading our way to the coast in the next couple hours or so. you can see it, you can hear it how windy it is. looking at the pacifica pier, we watched wave after wave crash into the pier. every once in a while we get a really large wave slushing over the top of it. there's a high-surf advisory in effect.
