She lives in this house near Santa Theresa, you can see something is burned and i cant understand what it is, it was pulled out of her house, it is gutted now and the majority of the cats who lived there are dead. She called 911 at 9 45 after she realized her bedroom was on fire. She didnt have a key to unlock the dead bolt and they had to cut through some fencing to rescue her and her dog. It took about an hour to knock down the fire, the majority of the cats who lived with her did not survive. She housed about 100 and only 5 or 6 cats survived. I dont panic easily, i dont know whether that is good or bad, but right now, i am just stunned. I mean i will have to deal with where i go from here. Animal control is on the scene removing the dead cats and the surviving ones are being taken to an Animal Hospital to get examined and as far as the cause of the fire, that is still under investigation the woman does not light any fires, she is very careful and she is very unsure of what happened here. Those are actually cat kennels and those are some surviving cats in those kennels and they are covered up because they have been traumatized and they have been through quite an ordeal but again fire is still under investigation and it is unclear what happened but the woman who lives here is protecting them. Reporter firefighters said if it had not been for her dog she would not have been a live and they are alive and you can see some damage in front of her home, that right here is in south san jose and it is a cat kennel that is completely charred and burned. The fire happened in the back of the house but dozens of dead cats are still inside that house. The woman called 911 at 1 45 from the home which is Santa Theresa and firefighters say when they arrived, the fire was in back of the house in a bedroom and they had to cut through a gate to rescue the woman who they say they found her in a fetal position with smoke blowing over her.
