There is a Police Search for a suspect. Tara. Reporter that is right. And when we first arrived here at San Francisco General Hospital we noticed a bunch of the victims friends standing outside waiting to hear word about his condition. Would you know hes in critical and his friend drove him here. We understand that he was shot in the face as well as twice in the side. Now the friend that drove him here that car was parked in the emergency drop off for more than two hours and then police just had that vehicle towed for evidence. That is because doctors found two types of bullets in the victims pocket. So they are investigating whether he was one of the shooters this morning. It all unfolded south of Market Street son sixth and stevenson about 20 minutes to 2 00 this morning. Police believe there was a shootout. We dont know how many casings were found but two different types of them were discovered at the scene. One matching the bullet found in the victims body, the other matching the one found in his pocket. Now at this point we dont have a motive for the shooting. We have learned the suspect drove off in a teal colored ford explorer. And inspectors are also look into the possibility that this shooting is connected to another shooting that happened just a half block from there two days ago. Live in San Francisco tara moriarty. Time is 5 02. In a couple hours the Alameda County sheriff may tell us more about the man arrested for the brutal murder of a Castro Valley woman last week. The body of 58yearold Barbara Latiolais was found in her home. She was brutally beaten, robbed, and her house was set on fire. She lived with her boy retired San Francisco firefighter who is not considered a suspect. 10 00 News Conference is scheduled to give us details on the suspect who was arrested. It was a mostly peaceful protest in a demonstration marking an important anniversary in the occupy oakland movement. Violators may be subject to an arrest. Officers kept watch over 175 protestors who marched through downtown oakland. The group was mostly peaceful as they observed the First Anniversary of occupy protestors getting evicted from frank ogawa plaza. If the police do end up using brutal force on people here at the occupy, im going to be putting every single kid here in that building. If it means me breaking a window to get them in, i will. Police made two arrests one protestor tossed a rock that hit an officer in the chest. The officer was not hurt. Second individual was arrested for about instructing an officer and narcotics possession. One of the protestors was iraq war veteran scott olson. He suffered a severe brain injury after oakland officers fired bean bags. One hit him in a the head last year. Olson was in a wheelchair and wore a safety helmet last night. He says he still has trouble with his speech but wanted to join in the rally. In just a couple of hours the giants head for the airport. They will fly to detroit for game three of the world series. Campbell police have been able to link this man to Numerous Bank robberies. They have been working with three other south bay cities to catch this bank robber. Here is a photo caught from Surveillance Video of the suspect from the most recent bank robbery in sunnyvale. He is a white man in his 30s around 510 tall with a stalky build and has a go tee. Over the last two months he has robbed six banks in four jurisdictions. According to the campbell batch bank of the west, u. S. Bank, wells fargo, and bank of america have all been hit. A man is being arraigned today on charges he beat an elderly San Francisco woman for no reason. 52yearold james bartly allegedly assaulted a 94year old woman in china town yesterday. If a judge finds hes mentally competent, the molestation charges could be reinstated and he could go on trial. We know the name of the teenager whos body was found along the San Mateo County coast. It was a girls body discovered sunday. Investigators are identifying her as 16yearold kathy queue of richmond. A run away who has been missing since september. She was an honor student at albany high school. They were able to identify her because the friends saw the news reports and told the school principal. The cause of her death is still under investigation. Two men are in the Sonoma County jail charged with a hate crime. Suspects aaron welch and salvador a are accused of stabbing two african americans. One of the victims suffered knife wounds to the shoulder and leg. Both should fully recover from their injuries.
