We are looking at the commute if you are driving around the bay area thats getting busier. , for example, at the toll plaza, were seeing a 15 to 20minute delay. More like 15 minutes. But you also have to wait for the metering lights which have turned on. North and southbound, more people on the road. You can definitely tell more people are on the road here. We do have a crash in san jose, northbound 101 at mckey. We had an earlier crash. Pull the maps back a little bit. You can see where those indicators are. We just heard of a crash in the area of the monta guy expressway right about here. Chp hasnt put up an indicator. Supposedly there blocking one of the lanes. At 6 02, lets go back to the desk. The owner of the store was in back. He said the date and time on the Surveillance System was incorrect. This was actually last night, about 7 30. I was in the back straightening up clothes, you know, doing my normal chores at the end reporter he wasnt at the front counter. The video shows the man jogging up, grabbing the laptop. Then, just like that, hes gone. I looked up, saw someone dashing out of the door. When someone bolts out the door that fast, its not because their pizza is burning in an oven somewhere. Its theyre stealing something. Reporter he gets out the door. Appears he is not alone. Another man, also walking up, watches the first man, then runs off with him. Seconds later, you see the owner of the store racing out the door, trying to get his laptop back. After he made a lot of noise. I rushed out after them, and they made a bolt straight across into a getaway car that they had parked waiting at the corner over to go on to 580. Reporter he said they got into a cadillac. All took just about 9 seconds for the first time we see the suspect to when its all over. The owners still hoping the two are caught, hoping to get that laptop back. Thankful hopefully it will shake some, you know, leaves out of the tree, and so we can get these guys and, you know, report them, because these little crimes like this just turn into bigger crimes. Police released this sketch of a man suspected of killing Alicia Carradine and wounding two other children and a grandmother. Suspect described as an African American man between 17, 24 years old, 5 feet, 7 inches tall. Now on the evening of july 17th, someone rang a doorbell at a home on wilson street. The gunman then shot about 7 times, killing little alicia, wounding her friend, a fouryearold boy and a 63yearold woman. We want to find this person and remove them from our streets. Now, this is an opportunity for these deputies and swat members to hone their skills and then take that experience back with them to their respective cities. Enables swat teams to train for free and be put into a series of different scenarios they would experience in real life. Swat team members from san jose, San Francisco, alameda county, gill roy, is a lee that, as far as los angeles will come out here, be put through these rigorous courses. We set the courses up so theyre very realistic. We dont make things that would not happen in real life. Its a good time. Reporting live from san jose, georgia mean delavega, ktvu news. Firefighters are making progress against that wildfire on mount diablo. Right now the fire is about 80 contained. Evacuation orders have been lifted along with the road closures. Several small out buildings did burn, but no homes were destroyed. Two engine. Youre listening to emergency radio communications. They are now revealing just how quickly that fire in mount diablo changed from a manageable grass fire to an out of control wildfire.
