The fire started on the first floor. Smoke traveled upstairs, trapping victims on the second floor. The atf says that warehouse did not have a fire alarm nor sprinklers. The record shows no planning or code inspectors had been inside the warehouse for 30 years because no one applied for a permit. He would be the oldest victim identified so far at 61 years old. The other victim is 35yearold Jason Mccarthy who lived in oakland. He is known for his art and had attended the oakland art institute. Officials are trying to contact families of three other victims. One victim was not identified yet. And a vigil was identified as to 2 00 victims found hugging each other. They had been a couple for wife years and called them soul mates. They worked the night shift together at dugin sarah mortuary. Coworkers are suggest willing to deal with the loss.
