do we know? >> we don't know. i asked police officers if he's treated like a regular civilian but they did not answer for me. >> christina, thank you. you can go to ktvu.com for more of this dash cam video. you'll find the video under our must see video column in our web links section. cal osha is investigating an incident where a worker was killed this morning. >> this site came to a standstill this morning halted after a man was crushed to death. he became pinned between a cherry picker or high reach boom and a concrete schukture. >> we're gathering evidence and witness statements. we're still looking at the case to see what injuries were sustained. >> the victim was in his 40s or 50s and worked for an equipment reason tal company. around 7:15 this morning he came to load the boom on to a flat bed truck he was inside when the accident happened. >> our sympathy goes out to the man's family and colleagues and everybody that's part of this team. >> we reached out to the rental company but they declined to comment. the man was pronounced dead here at the scene. a collision team and cal osha are both investigating. in san francisco tara moriarty ktvu fox 2 news. a six hour police standoff has now come to an end in san francisco. officers told ktvu that a man involved in a domestic violence incident violated a restraining order and barricaded himself the a home. he was not armed so they waited him out while crisis negotiators talked with him. in san jose homicide investigators are investigating a deadly stabbing. they say the victim was stabbed in the neck during a fight. the victim managed to walk into the restaurant where he collapsed and died. no arrested have been made. the man accused of killing two people during a home invasion in the south bay was in court this afternoon. he's facing two counts of murder one with special circumstances. the charges stem from an incident on wednesday he and an accomplice killed a man inside his home. deputies say redmond led police on a high speed chase that ended in a crash and passenger in the car ended up dying. >> this is an ongoing investigation and there are a lot of details that are still being learned as this investigation continues. because of that i don't want to go into too many of those facts and details because i don't want to speculate. >> redmond did not enter a plea today and remains in custody without bail. he's due back in court on may 31st. a judge is expected to rule within the next ten days whether this man can fire his attorneys. he is accused of kidnapping and killing a 15-year-old girl from morgan hill in 2012. he was in court today for a status hearing. he asked the judge for new attorneys so he can start the trial by june 2 #1s. his lawyers say they are busy and won't be able to defend him for four months. he has said he is innocent. a school taking drastic steps to deal with a stomach virus. how officials are working to get the situation under control. >> at this elementary school nurses went classroom to classroom giving a refresher lesson in hand watching. >> a large number of students have come down with gastrointerriets symptoms. >> over the last few weeks 100 kids have gotten sick and six teachers too. parents have been asked to keep their kids home for 48 hours if they have symptoms. >> they're doing a good job communicating with us. >> there have been six to eight new cases a day so public health officials advised a thorough cleaning. >> they cleaned every single room, they cleaned the pillars t playground. they're going top to bottom. >> they'd also like to limit contact between the students by eating lunch in the classroom and skipping the playground. that also meant putting off the school's musical which had been scheduled for this week. it was a big disappointment but too big a risk. >> it had to be postponed until we have zero new cases of symptoms. we're hoping that's next week. owen lewis says he's being extra ca. >> she told us about where germs could be. >> it's a lesson he's taken to heart. >> where can germs be?
