This time of year sometimes not all that much is at stake but that is not true with the warriors. For instance trying to keep the perfect home record going at oracle and getting close to the number one seed in the western conference. And, of course, close in on the record for most wins in a season. Our joe fonzi is court side tonight and checking out the wizards of washington and quite a shoot out. You are right. The warriors are nailing down that number one spot in the west. The gold shorts he is wearing is a clue for a throwback uniform night. He is part of the show before the game starts. There is one thing that the warriors recognize they are not doing as well as they have done is play defense and thats kind of showing up in the last few games and something that they talked about today in the shoot around. The defense has been average at best. We all need to take efforts to get better because the playoffs we won get to the finals without walking down. It is not a switch that we turn on. Stephanie, if you are not one of the teams, it is hard to have that edge. I think we have done a good job. The warriors know that when they come to playoff time Oklahoma City or san antonio they will have to play the best defense to stay in it with those guys. As we continue to watch, the one thing that we notice with the warmups, if you see him do a shot that looks off balance and looks like he just threw that off, thats not the case. He practices every conceivable shot that you can think of. The reason he make them, he practices. So we will look forward to seeing if that happens. As you said the record just keeps piling up as the warriors go after that home win streak again. And trying to close in on that number one spot and the all time record for the season. Im joe fonzi.
