Two people from Santa Cruz County were killed and a third is in Critical Condition in a rollover crash in i80 in placer county. It happened tuesday evening. Police say they were driving home from spending the holiday evening at lake tahoe when their four runner hit a guardrail and tumbled down an embankment. It started just before 3 00 this morning on san pablo avenue. More than a hundred firefighters and 25 engines and trucks responded. People in the area reported hearing a number of explosions. Investigators have not gone inside yet because it is not safe. They are not ruling anything out in terms of a cause. Police in San Francisco say a man died this afternoon in a fiery crash in the sea cliff neighborhood. It happened on 32 avenue. The driver was traveling northbound when he crashed into a 6 million home. Police found millions of dollars worth of illegal Marijuana Plants inside seven different homes. A total of 1800 Marijuana Plants ended up being confiscated. Six people were taken into custody. Neighbors say they never would have guessed that such a massive operation was underway in their neighborhood. The Property Owner says they thought they were renting to a young family. Not people growing marijuana. Well, tonight there was more fallout from the sex scandal involving oakland police. Crime reporter henry lee says a new investigation is underway. They are looking into whether prostitution cases may be tainted because of officers involvement with a teenager who described herself as a sex worker. Reporter at least four richmond officers are under investigation and a deputy has resigned for allegedly having sex with this woman who calls herself selascuap and is now 18. I find it appalling. Reporter now, robin lepetsi has opened an investigation into whether any sex trafficking or prostitution cases could be jeopardized. If they were themselves engaging in this kind of behavior, if they were involved in an arrest or a prosecution or investigation of that kind of conduct, that it calls into question the integrity of the investigations. Reporter Ricardo Perez was accused of having sex with a girl when she was underage. But the richmond officers were involved with the girl after she turned 18. None of them were on leave because police say there is no evidence any crimes were committed. Two officers have been reassigned from positions involving youths. Richmond City Council Member jovanka bickle says. There might not be criminal activity, but dishonorable activity. In any other profession if anyone does something unscrupulous and dishonorable, there are consequences. His lips were blue when he was finally pulled from the pool. The unidentified instructor was placed on administrative duty during the investigation. The u. S. Consumer Product Safety Commission is recalling half a million hover boards because of a fire threat. The recall comes after at least 99 incidents of battery packs overheating with some catching fire and exploding. A few hover board owners have been burned and injured as a result. The boards recalled were sold in stores or online from june of last year to may of this year. Owners should stop using them and contact the manufacturer for a full refund, extinguisher change, or repairs. Reporter the shootings are happening here on blossom hill between midnight and 1 00 in the morning when it is darkful police scoured the area looking for surveillance tape, but so far, they dont have any leads. This map pinpoints the location. It is happening near pakipsi and monterrey road. One happened in may, two in june, the latest on saturday. The female driver in that case was injured by shrapnel. A male driver suffered a graze wound. It is fortunate no one was seriously hurt. They need help identifying who is responsible. We dont have any information. It is incumbent on the public, social media, maybe someone is bragging about what they did. Maybe somebody knows somebody that may possess a weapon. Things of that nature. We are looking for any information that we can get on these shootings. Reporter none of the victims know each other. Police have dedicated extra resources to this case and beefed up patrols in those areas. They want people who travel along the stretch to be vigilant and aware of their surroundings.
