That was the quote that the pilot said not a scratch they were fine, how long you have been instructing, 30 something years. You have had that happen before . And it was closed while the plane was towed back to the hangar. The head of the airport calls the incident rare. I have been here, we have not had an plane go through in this direction. Thats unusual. Reporter they take off the other direction but were landing to the south because of windy conditions. This a well traveled road here. There are cars coming and going all times of the day. It is fortunate we did not have an accident besides the fence itself. It took spike strips, bags fired at car windows and canine to take a fleeing suspect into custody. Why the chp allowed the driver to lead them on a strange chase that lasted more than two hours. And we push in to the end of the week and the temperatures get into the mid toupper 90s. Ill let you know how son that will happen. A man scaled trump to youer in new york and using large suction cups. He got 21 stories high before police were able to pull him in through a window and place him under arrest. It houses the Campaign Headquarters his Business Empire and donald trump lives there. There are reports that the climb ser a trump supporter who was hoping to get a private meeting with him. San bruno leaders are feeling that justice has been served after the explosion six years ago. They held a News Conference about the guilty verdict against pg e. A jury found them guilty of violating Pipeline Safety standards and one count of on structuring the investigation into the explosion. And laters say that the utility has severe maken responsibility for what happened. I tell you that did not happen, i tell you that instead they fought the case tooth and nail. Im grateful to the jury and the criminal Justice System the Attorneys Office for accomplishing this end. The 2010 pipeline explosion left eight people dead and 38 homes destroyed. And the only place that is possible, 3 Million Dollars fines for constrictions. Officials say its not the money but the message sent by the guilty verdict. At times getting information out of the cpuc was difficult now a senator wants to change that. When san brewyo sued the commission to get the records and emails that prove they had a cozy relationship with pg e, it took two years to get it. Thats because when you file a public records act request for documents and materials and it is denied, tough take the extremely slow and expensive route of going directly to the California Supreme Court or the Appellate Court in california. Now san bruno state senator jerry hill wants to change the rules. What the legislation says can you do like any other agency file that at the superior court which is faster, you can get the information so the publics right to have the information. The senator is sponsoring the bill that would eliminate the exemption for the cpuc thats been a point of aggravation for reporters and our own, you had to go through the hoop was is that like. It depends on the agency f you go with the record acts request you get an answer quickly. Because it is an agency that actually is created in the constitution, there are different rules that apply that do not need to apply to them. So they do have the option of sending to you the California Supreme Court which is time consuming and expensive. But it has proven it is not very good at regulating much of what it regulates. They have been getting more of the requests and san bruno set a precedent they got these things and what we found out that they had a good reason for not wanting to give them. They were up to them. They were embarrassed. There are some settlements in which the terms are deemed confidential. What would this do to those . Well it will make some of that Information Available to internally to the State Government so they can take a look at things and do that. That would not be releasable to the public on top of that what it will do is protect the ability of a utility and lawyers to make a deal to resolve something without having to you know give away information. This is a work in progress. This is the first step of many steps and this is the camels nose under the tent but its not the last. And the governor vetoed a bill. What do you think the chances are of the new bill . There is pressure. Others are saying, wait a minute, there is a reason for this. Time has passed and now all of the revolutions have come out now the governor has to say what am i doing here . Am i on the side of the public or trying to preserve this secrecy for a utilities and cpuc. It is a different look and there is a lot of support for the bill. He has to be careful. Will it pass . I think it will pass out of the committee. It has until the 31st to pass both houses of the legislature. And i think that if it passes that the governor may well take a close look and say it is time to do this. Tom, thank you for that. A check on the weather.
