totally ignoring the fact of their speech themselves. >> here is where we saw that breaking news, taking in 2,500 tweets a minute. >> where is the conversation? and the best way to tell is how they are reacting to it and what is driving conversations. >> the entire conversation and their convention will be linking everyone to the bay area. the users have generated more than 28 million posts >> two people are not. but the business of campaigning, they will continue tonight no matter what the answer is. >> which it is. >> right. now outside the convention area here that they will be if you can hear me from two, anything from what you'll hear from them tonight? last night was unsurmountable. that she is beautiful and that they did not get anything inside who donald trump is, but looking forward to hearing a little bit more from donald trump. we are hearing from themselves and that the spirit and that they will be getting from california and their delegations, that it might happen in that time with donald trump making the second unorthodoxed experience. >> all right, a lot more to come as we are looking forward to seeing you tonight. thank you. joining us now is our political analyst. we will get to the reaction about what will happen today in their convention in just a moment. but first we need to get to the story of the day the accusation that his wife, she plagiarized their speech eight years ago. so take a listen to both of them. >> my parents impressed on me the value that you work hard for what you want in life. and that they could promise that your success. >> barack and i were raised with so many of our same values. that you work hard in what you want in life. >> so many people are thinking that she did a great job after hearing her speak. then later on came word that parts of e her speech were lifted. your thoughts on that? >> it is a complicated issue that there were what we would say echos of the other speech. but the words were the same. we all know how they are crafted that they would sit in the room. what needs work? and somehow from there it ended up in the speech and it is very unfortunate that they should have came out very early and say that somebody should be held responsible here, that's not right. >> that's what i don't get, they said we made a mistake and it is 24 hours later, we are still talking about it. >> there have been a number of those explanations to come out of the campaign, including early on and that she had written that speech. well anybody that has been around for business and for any period of time knows that she might have had that input, but the speeches are written by the professionals. how this happened, i don't know, but it is a black eye. does it go through that cycle? i'm not sure about that, but that he has been nominated officially that there will be all kinds of speeches here tonight. we'll see where that goes. >> at the end of the day is it really going to change anybody's vote? >> no, because if it were donald trump that would have made those comments that it might be a little different that she will get past them that it is not her job to be a professional speech giver and to write speeches, that they would get that pass. >> what are you looking for tonight? we have paul ryan speaking and governor chris christie speaking. we also have two of donald trump's kids and donald trump jr. and tiffany speaking. what are you looking for this evening? >> with respect to the children, more personalization of donald trump. who he is as a father and as a person. but chris christie i think if he does his job tonight that he will really get that place moving. >> absolutely the same thing frank. that it will be their job tonight whether they will do that tonight who knows. but the last convention that they did not give a good view. but mainly about him. and this time that it has to be about donald trump. >> what about paul ryan? >> that will be an interesting one to see because of course that they would have this dicey relationship. i mean what else can you do? they officially put their dad over the top to officially hand their nomination. and your thoughts? >> i thought it was nice, a good family thing. they have been involved in this campaign from the beginning. it seems right when they went over with one leading the way. >> who would have thought that they would have gotten to this point as almost no one gave them a chance. here it is. >> he did not give him a chance. he was asked what do you think that it is and maybe 10% to 15% and here we are with their nominee. >> all right, we will have much more with you coming up later tonight. thank you. >> and, they tend to our website on ktvu.com. you'll find live video of all the major speeches and
