We want to welcome back our chief meteorologist bill martin looking good. Nice to have you back. Lets talk a little bit about the weather and quite a difference. 80s and now look at it. Baseball opening day and warm weather and rain coming back. We are setting up with more showers for the bay area. This system is not unusual and kind of a pain and cut off low down. You see it here and what it does instead of storms coming from here to here, they are ripping around this low and coming back and then coming back at us. That is why we talked earlier tonight about the chance of thunderstorms showing up because right now in the east you got thunderstorms coming and they will come around the loop and bring us a chance of thundershowers late tonight and tomorrow morning so dont be surprised if you hear thunder. Scattered showers on and off all morning especially in the east bay. None of it really heavy yet. But as we head in that potential for a thundershower unone of those it will go off. Now some of you, may not see anything but in san rafael you may get a quarter of an inch of rain. Here is the bottom line. As we go to the evenings commute, more slightly wet roadways and not a wash out in the forecast and as we head to tomorrow and beyond into the weekend, we got a chance for continued showers. So when i come back we will timeline the showers with the computer model and that is happening now and we will time the showers with the model and i will lay out the week forecast for you. Just launched from san jose state university. Do you go for the record or rest your starters. Thats the question facing the warriors with three games left in the season. We will talk with Sports Reporter scott reese about what way the team may be leading coming up next. Will the warriors go for it or rest starters and go for the record . Our scott reese is here now. Do we know the game plan. The only reason we are talking about this, they took care of business. The warriors purged frustration after the loss in san antonio. Remember that. A couple of home losses within a week and they reminded the nba world that they are still the team to beat. A convincing win over the spurs. 112 and 101. They shot 54 . It was win number 70 on the season. So with three games to go, the bulls record still within reach. But the number one seed in the west is wrapped up. As you guys mentioned it, the question is do they go for it or rest up. Im inclined to give some guys a rest if they need it. But ive sort of made a pact with the guys if they are not tired and banged up and go for the record, then we got to talk. Im 23. So i have no problem playing the rest of the games and we will go from there. They got three games left at memphis at san antonio, back home to memphis. Frank and heather three tough games although the spurs may rest the guys down the stretch. I dont think there is question about drake and steph curry. Lets say he is going for a layup and twists his arrange kells and out for the playoffs. The game is meaningless other than the record. He could twist his arrange ankle getting off the bus. You got to take the temperature of the locker room and steph curry and Draymond Green have been vocal about it. This is a lifetime opportunity. This is a chance to leave your mark. Kobe bryant said to go for it. I can imagine all of the second guessing if someone gets hurt. If they lose in the playoffs early. The second guessing will be there and i think you got to let the players decide. Go for it. These guys dont run from it. They embrace it. Scott, thank you. Lets go back to our chief meteorologist bill martin. Frank, i tend to agree. Just because they got the flow going. Onceinalifetime opportunity. You are right. Technically you are right. You dont want to see the best guys hurt but the way the team plays together you dont want to change a darn thing. We have got clouds and showers in the bay area week forecast but do not change your plans. Okay . I hope i know friends are having a wedding and your fine and it is working out. Baseball games tomorrow and showers in the forecast. But it will be hit and miss stuff like today. And you should be able to get most of your stuff in. If your kids have a baseball game and going outside. Jacket and umbrella because there will be showers. Here comes the showers and unusual in that they are coming this way but they are wrapping back around. And that makes it tough to forecast because we are not forecasting a frontal system. When it comes we can time it and you get the wind shifts and this is an airmass with the stable air and tough to get heavy rain unless you get a convectant cell and a thunder cell and throughout the days on saturday and sunday it will be like this. Scattered light showers. If you are outside and san rafael you are playing baseball and up in wood acres at the golf course, playing golf and not shutting down because of the light showers. 67 right now in concord and mile. 65 in walnut creek and still pretty with the cloud cover. Tropical moisture. Thats why the sunset lightens up because it is coming from a lower latitude and that is why it is warm. Rain in San Francisco tomorrow and aggressive but i will say mornings will be the best time for heavier rain. The sun will come out and scattered showers and breaks and it wont shut you down. And in the afternoon more of the same. Sunday wont be quite as aggressive but that is how it will look. Sunday will be the better driest day on the bay. 68 in in los gatos. What will happen on sunday will be like today. Plan your week accordingly and know it wont get cold. Mile and temperatures generally in the mid and upper 60s. You know the upshot is the pattern is a moisture pattern and not only seeing showers in this week forecast. Light stuff, barely measurable and as we move forward, we are looking for more opportunities for real stuff coming out of the pacific and rain that would help the reservoir and snow. It seems like there was this buildup for el nino and did get substantial rain but it doesnt seem like it turned to what we needed. That february shut down frank and heather and february played along. We would be deep into it. 155 of average. That didnt happen but we have a shot to up the numbers. Good. Bill, thank you. Surveillance video leads to a major arrest in belgium.
