We are demanding that all five officers who shot mario woods be put up on murder charges. Thats right. Reporter they meant no they minced no words. Or emotions. People with the justice for Mario Woods Coalition want change in the San FranciscoPolice Department. I am very upset. For him to be executed like that. Reporter public outrage spilled over when this cell phone video surfaced. It shows the 26yearold being shot by officers 15 times in the bay view december 2. Woods stabbed someone and carrying a knife when they confronted him. All of San Francisco is in pain because of what happened. Reporter he said Police Chiefs response to the shooting by asking for tasers is too simplistic. That misses the whole point. What we want is a change in the way in which this department operates. Proper apology. Reporter the super visor supervise. What the police chief that discussed, the process of led to the shooting, is shown to be opposite of what he is saying. A fully independent investigation. It will be out there for the public to evaluate. The District Attorney says they will bow transparent about the woods case. We need to have a dialogue about how San FranciscoPolice Department is operating. Reporter he says that means changes in the Police Department so no more young men of color lose their lives. Tara moriarty, ktvu fox 2 news. Scary moments today on a freeway after a Chain Reaction accident. Reaction accident. A truck over turned and crushed a pickup truck trapping the driver. Emergency crews were able to pull the driver out safely, though, but the chp says the accident caused a pile up volving 12 other vehicles. Involving 12 other vehicles. The accident snarled traffic for two hours. And that wasnt the only problem on roads this morning. A paint spill caused a traffic nightmare for drivers. Reporter traffic was brought to a stand still after the paint spill and for one hour all westbound lanes of i 80 had to be shut down so crews could clean up the mess. The spill happened before 4 00 p. M. In San Francisco on i80. 105gallon buckets spilled. This material is used for stucco and dry wall. The driver provided police with paper work for the material and decided it was not hazardous but it caused a mess and cars spun out. But the good news, no crashes. No one was hurt. All westbound lanes were closed and travel was diverted. The back up was heavy and well into berkeley and oakland. The lanes were open by 7 00 but it was slow going this morning. Chp says the driver was sited for having an unsecured load and he or the company he works for will have to pay for the clean up by caltrans. All right. Thank you.
