Because they are in the middle of an investigation. An investigation that has san pablo street closed downright now and they say that the Investigation Team could be here for a number of hours. Medics treated 11 people in San Francisco today after they were sickened by pepper spray inside a landmark restaurant. It happened about 10 20 this morning inside the bakery on fishermans wharf. Witnesses told them a homeless person came inside and deliberately discharged that pepper spray. Police in santa rosa are investigating the claims of a woman who says she was kidnapped and held for three weeks. The 22yearold Woman Told Police that she was kidnapped at gunpoint in if the roseland area. She says that she was held captive in a huge gated compound, beaten, and sexually assaulted. Police say she finally managed to escape yesterday. We firmly believe all this happened. From our indications, everything the victim has said, that we follow up on all investigations. When someone comes alleging a sexual assault, someone as traumatic and tragic as this, of course we look into it. Yesterday, a s. W. A. T. Team raided the property. Its all part of a search for the title, whoever will earn the title of the worlds fittest man and woman. The cross fit open and as fox 2 reporter tells us, it all started right here in the bay area. Hold them up. Go, go, go. Carol became a cross fitter back in 2008 when no one really knew. Youre pushing too early. My kids opened up cross fit santa cruz. One of the first gyms, and i did it to support them. I had no idea that it would grow and people would do it all over the world. Next week, carol will join more than 200,000 people from around the world for what is known as the cross fit open. I didnt want to do it. I hate it. Its really hard. And then i decided that i had to. Cross fit is defined as functional fitness and consistents of varied movements at high intensity. It started in santa cruz. It has grown faster than anyone expected. More than 11,000 affiliates are spread out across the world. In asia, in australia, even africa, south america, tremendous growth. So really, theres no end in sight. The open brings them all together. Its an online fitness competition. Five workouts released over the course of five weeks. While most are cross fitters, you dont have to be. You can do it in your garage gym and anyone with a camera can submit a score and see where they stack up against the best athletes in the world. And people are signing up for that challenge. The first open was in 2011. 26,000 signed up. In 2012, there were 69,000. Last year, 209,000 people from 86 countries took part. I think a very conservative claim, well have a quarter million people. At media headquarters, things are bustling. The workouts are top secret. Unless you need to know what these workouts are, you dont have access to them. If i beg, they wont tell me. If you go in there and open the door, you might get nerf gunned. This is the goal. The cross fit games and the chance to be claimed fitness on earth. More now on that major breaking news we told you about. A tentative agreement in the dispute with workers at ports up and down the west coast, including the port of oakland. Tom vacar is in the newsroom. What are you hearing . After nine months and five days, they apparently have a deal. This morning there was a report that this was possibly going to happen. In fact, had been confirmed that it happened, was withdrawn. Later today, the ap learned and we have confirmed that case is true, theres a tentative deal. This slowdown was costing about a billion dollars a day in lost revenues had it gone to a full shutdown, 2 billion a day. The question, of course, is will both sides approve this . This is a tentative agreement. That may be something to take a few days. And once that is taken care of, then we have the issue of the backlog. Tens and thousands of containers all up and down the west coast with the stuff in them, without stuff in them, and have to be sorted out. That could take three or four months at the very least. At least for right now, we believe that there is a settlement in this port strike and that is good news for everybody who ships, who imports, who exports, who depend on those products and certainly, that is a fitting end to something that could have gotten a lot worse in the next day or so.
