Happened were just east of interstate 80 by the oakland airport. Police have been going door to door asking neighbors what they saw or heard. Claudine wong is joining us live with the agreement that still has the buses rolling on the roads this morning. Reporter good morning, dave. Heres some good news. Ac transit buses are pulling up. People are ready to go back to work. How are you feeling this morning . That means certainly this deal came at 11 00 last night. People waking up this morning wondering if their bus will be there. Did you start going through the chain of folks saying show up for work, well be running . I found out through the news probably like everybody else did. I was okay. They say they get a wage increase that rb phased over the next that will be phased over the next three years of the contract and they will be making contributions to Health Care Costs of 70, 140 and 180. These are Little Details about what really made it happen but certainly no doubt theres a lot of relief. Its been a hard negotiations period. We have been in negotiations for over five months. At times it seems that, you know, we werent going to be able to get an agreement. But getting an agreement was always our goal. Reporter it took a long time. Now to our continuing coverage of the bart labor dispute. This morning bart management and Labor Union Leaders will present their sides to a special board of inquiry in a public hearing. The hearing will take place at the State Office Building in downtown oakland. Both sides will detail the remaining issues and theyll talk about how a bart strike or lockout would affect the public. The board will then report to the governor by the end of this week. Governor jerry brown made declare a 60day cooling off period to keep the bart trains rolling. This mornings hearing starts at 10 30 this morning and, yes, it is open to the public. We have breaking news in the south bay right now. San jose firefighters investigating three small grass fires. It started about 90 minutes ago near Bailey Avenue and highway 101. Equipment failure at a substation is blamed for knock be out power to more than 36,000 pge customers in the richmond and sunset districts shortly before midnight. She was not somebody who went out late at night. Her sister says someone recently tried to extort money from coke when they said they had her dog but did not. This morning a massive manhunt still under way for a man accused of abducting two children who are the subject of a statewide amber alert. Police say the man set his home in San Diego County on fire killing the childrens mother and unidentified child. Authorities issued an amber alert for 16yearold Hanna Anderson and her 8yearold brother ethan. The family members think the child that was found in that burned out house is Ethan Anderson but thats not confirmed yet. The childrens father is pleading for the safe return of his daughter. They say daniel stone was starting his shift at annual ace Hardware Store sunday morning when someone walked in and stabbed him 17 times. Investigators want to talk with the man who came into the store at the same time as the suspect. Surveillance video shows the man arriving in a white car just ahead of the man believed to be agnew. Were hoping we may be able to locate him and see whether or not he might have witnessed some of the interaction between mr. Stone and the defendant. Investigators say the deadly attack was a random act from a mentally unstable manual. They say the suspect told unstable man. They say the suspect told them he was on a mission. Authorities are calling the National Night out a success. Last night having some fun out there. About 50 people gathered for a festive event on corwin court in san jose. They say it was an example of neighborhood Law Enforcement cooperation. They alerted members of the santa clara countys Sheriff Office about the graffiti problem in their area.
