heck voted ten times to defund planned parenthood. he even tried to shut down the federal government in order to eliminate funding for planned parenthood. and heck's against a woman's right to choose joe heck. part of the problem in washington. back to school is the paper, the penials, ask tech reigns supreme. get your child or even yourself ahead of the curve with some back to school. tech-alicious. suzanne kantra is here. she is probably in one of the greatest fields in history. >> how are you? i used to be one of the only kids in school with a cell phone. now technology in school is so necessary and needed. >> it is. and when we look at what people are buying for back to school, and people are buying nearly 60 percent of people have tech items on their shopping list, like headphones and portable memory to be able to turn in class assignments. >> so important. let's say your kids already have a laptop and a tablet, are there accessories that will help them get the most out of their tech? >> when i talk about headphones, there are two different styles. older kids are going to want things that are water resistant because they'll be running around with it. this but for younger kids, something under 85 decibels is going to make sure you're protecting their hearing. and this otterbox case will protect it if it drops, and it has a back-up battery pack, because kids are always forgetting to charge have phones, and they don't remember to charge their phones. these are all good options for expanding the capabilities. >> what other tech might help them make the grade for class? and parents, too, are going to have more time with the kids in school to do what they want to do. >> they are. so one thing i always think about for back to school for parents is back to the gym, back to fitness. i have one o on my wrist. it will track your sleep and your steps. and it has a silent alarm. as you're getting up at different times to get your kids up in the morning, you're not disturbing your spouse. and the headphones, an all around parent headphone, something you can work out in, and listen to your music. also think about upgrading your in-car experience. perspective, this hands-free system, enhancing your everyday experience with the technology. >> and i see the reverseguard. kids are coming from nowhere, you're backing out of your driveway, you're afraid you're going to hit somebody. this is great technology, isn't it? >> absolutely. they find that nearly half the people who have cars are more than ten years old on the road today, they don't have back-up cameras. this is the reverseguard. $300 plus installation. not that expensive. it gives thaw peace of mind. if you have a child who is a new driver, making sure they're alert as well. other types of technology that you might be thinking about are, as we have, you know, more of the internet you can put it on a sick child, you might be worried about whether it's going to break overnight, and then you can monitor them on the smartphone without having to go in there and wake them up. >> what? wow! and what else? >> this has real olympics content on it, and it doesn't require internet connection. you can just be in the back seat of your car with your kids, and they can be playing their games. >> i might buy that for myself! suzanne, thank you so much. if you want more information, theed cta.tech. we'll also have suzanne on our website, at vegasmorningblend.com. >> thank you, shawn. hosting auditions friday at the westin. the casting team is looking for hip-hop and more. females will be expected to perform in heels. coming up, a live performance of "the sound of music". ? >> no, i suppose not! >> you'd be confused for the rest of the show. >> no one to talk to. >> "climb every one of the biggies. what's it like to tackle that song? >> that's a good word, tackle that song. what's it like every night? i would say -- well, first of all, it is a huge ordeal, and it's something that i actually think about and pray about every night before it's done. >> wow! >> because i want to make sure that it's not just sung well but that it's acted well as well, and that i'm telling the story, and that that it's all being done in love. >> and, jay, how is it tackling these classes? >> "tackling" is a good word, because in every city we get a new orchestra. we travel with three musicians and pick up 13. >> how do you find them? >> that's not my problem. we arrive, we have an orchestra there. every tuesday morning when we do one-week stops, we have a whole new group, and we have a show. people love playing. then they get into it and say, wow, i never knew! they can't see the show, but they enjoy listening to it. >> and we have the von trapp 17". jay, many people grew up with this play. i saw this play when i was young, certainly. what -- some people are looking for a reason to go now. this morning, a noninvasive way to shrink down fat liposuction is lays r lindsay kay. tell us about this. normal liposuction is scary. this is not. >> right. we're using a laser device to shrink the fat cell in a noninvasive way. this is a completely n process with no pain and no side effects. this laser works in the same sense as if you were going to the gym or dieting and losing weight. when we're losing weight, we're shrinking down our fat cells, and this laser starts that natural process for you. it creates multiple holes in the fat cells so it can empty. the fat is released into lymph nodes and liver are processing it. it's putting it into a shrunken state in the body. when you're finished with the sessions, the hole in the pore seals back up, so results are long lasting. >> who is a good candidate? >> male or female, doesn't matter. who come in who have knee injuries, back injuries, i've treated a patient, you know, in a wheelchair before, people with copd, patients who come in who are not able to exercise anymore, and the nice part about this program is you don't have to exercise to get results. >> you can exercise. >> absolutely, there is no down time or recovery time, no restrictions as far as exercise goes, and we obviously encourage it, but putting on that stubborn belly fat, we are still able to help you. >> i think people stop exercising because they try for a few weeks, see no change -- >> of course they do. most patients who come in are about 35 all the way up to 80 years old, they've tried diet and exercise, and nothing seems to work for them. we treat a lot of patients, especially female patients who are post-menopausal, and they've put on stubborn belly fat and can't get it off. this will work for that. >> what areas of the body can we treat? >> that's a nice part of this. we have no limitations when it comes to treating an area of the body. we can treat the neck, the arms, the most popular area, the stubborn belly fat, and well. patients come in for a series of eight sessions we this can come twice a week, or nine sessions, three times a week. >> which is pretty incredible. and you offer whole-body vibration. >> yeah. >> like squeezing that sponge. >> well, it speeds up your metabolism and lymphatic system. it's for 10 minutes after your laser session with us. the reason for that, for patients who are not able to exercise, they go on this for ten minutes after their sessions and get better results. >> it stimulates -- >> it's enough to stimulate the lymphatic system to flush out the fat. >> how do people do this? >> we're doing a special. we're doing 40 percent off. give us a call today, we'll do 40 percent off either laser liposuction, but you do need to give us a call today. >> where are you located? >> at washington and rambo, northwest, at 777 north rambo boulevard, suite 700. >> and you're right past the curve. >> thanks for having me. >> they're offering a special today only, eight sessions or nine for 40 percent off. be sure to mention morning blend." for more information on their services and achieve those dream results, the information is on your screen. we have law advice. share the road. keep on the lookout for motorcycles and bicycles. safely f. you're on a bike and hit by a reckless driver, call an attorney who rides. call the number or head to the website on your screen. they're also on facebook and twitter. on ktnv.com, you can find so many great stories on what makes this hal valley a special place to live, just click on the "positively lv" tab. check out it's an element of home renovation you may overlook, but replacing your windows can lower the temperature >> the home depot offers window-window installation services for you at your home, and here with more is operations manager corwyn frierson. welcome back to the show! >> talking about windows today. a couple of weeks ago we talked about air conditioning. windows are another way to lower costs, and keep it cooler. cost?
