"it's not meant to harm. it's meant to protect. people ask me .. protect from what? i say protect the eyes, protect the heart, protect the mind. these are our children and they don't need to be exposed to anatomy of the opposite sex when they're in high school. the governor has until march first to decide whether to sign or veto the bill. yesterday he met with members of south dakota's transgender community about their concerns. the measure is also getting the attention of transgender olympic athlete caitlyn jenner. she has called on her twitter followers to respond. there's a similar bill in north carolina. the governor there says he will he does not want transgender people to be able to choose the bathroom they want to use. they would have to use the bathroom that corresponds to their gender instead. the governor there thinks it's a violation of privacy for the bill to pass. right now..the center for disease control is investigating more reports of the zika virus. they say these new cases were sexually transmitted. the c-d-c says there's 14 cases in all. several of them involve prenant woman. this points more to zika being transmitted through sexual relatins. a mosquito bite is still the most likely way to get infected. the zika virus has been confirmed in 23 u-s states and washington d-c. the world health organization says up to four million people will be infected in the next year. johnsonand-johnson has to pay up. an alabama family has been awarded 72-million dollars in a lawsuit against the company. this morning they say they plan to appeal the court's decision. it's all over the company's talcum powder that the family claims caused ovarian cancer. from the disease she used johnson and johnson's baby powder and show to shower for years. the jury found the company liable for her death. the family says the lawsuit wasn't about the money...but about warning other women.
