"deja vu adult emporium." near tropicana and arville around 12 thirty this morning. we're told the person is facing non-life threatening injuries. we'll keep you updated as we get more information. turning to a developing story.. bail has been set for the hit and run driver who killed a 2 year old girl. arrested saturday in the death of evelyn green. the tragic crash happened one week ago and a memorial for green is still going strong. garcia-martinez is charged with a felony for not stopping at the scene of a fatal accident and his bail is set to one million dollars. green was playing in the street when garcia martinez reportedly hit and killed her in a white windowless van. greens mother vicki told 13 action news he pulled over smelling of alcohol and left before police got there. garcia martinez's neighbors say he's a good guy who was caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. they never knew him to be a drinker. many of the greens are in california right now, including both of evelyn's parents. they're preparing for their toddlers funeral which is set to be in los angeles on saturday. right now, the search is on for two suspects after a home invasion on west atlantic street in henderson yesterday. according to police, one man inside the home was shot. hospital and is in critical condition. 3 kids were also home at the time. thankfully they were not hurt. authorities say it does not look like this was a random home invasion. they are trying to find a man and a woman right now. a developing story this morning. one person is dead after a homicide on the valley's northwest side. metro says reports of a shooting came in around 11 thirty saturday night near lake mead and rancho. when officers got there, they found a man shot to death inside of a car. no word yet on a motive or a suspect. las vegas fire and rescue crews had a busy night-- responding to two separate fires inside vacant building. the flames broke out saturday night. the first fire happened at a home near rainbow and alexander. the second one was inside a vacant apartment building downtown - near mesquite and stewart. people were seen --taking off right after the fires started. officials say it looks like no one was injured in either fire. a 13 action news update now on a metro k-9 officer. "nicky" is now back home recovering from surgery after being stabbed several times during a police standoff. this happened friday morning. metro says k-9's are important to the department's success and an injury like this could be career ending. they're still unsure when or if nicky will return to work. america continues to mourn the loss of one of the most controversial and iconic justices to ever serve on the nation's highest court---justice antonin scalia. this morning, we are learning an autopsy will be conducted. now, we hear more about his judicial legacy --- and the fight for who will be his replacement. abc's ray raimundi...with the latest developments. script: overnight --- america honoring justice antonin scalia -- by far the most conservative jurist on the highest court sot - president obama " antonin nino scalia was the bench. (cheers) thank you all!" several hundred bernie sanders enthusiasts gathered in the reno convention center yesterday for a canvass launch. that's when a candidate's supporters knock on the doors of undecided voters. more than 500 people showed up to yesterday's event. he thanked them for their hard work, and made a bold prediction...to win next weekend's caucus. and ahead today... senator sanders will be right here in the las vegas valley. he's hosting a a rally at bonanza high school. doors open at 10:30 this morning. the event is free and open to the public, but it is strongly encouraged that you r-s-v-p. sanders is expected to talk about a wide range of topics including immigration reform and college tuition. with less than a week to go caucus, presidential candidate hillary clinton is making a final push to win supporters. the former first lady was in henderson yesterday for a rally. "i will take on wall street. i've done it before and i'll do it again. no bank should be too big to fail, no executive too powerful to jail." the crowd cheered as clinton talked about harsher regulations for the financial sector - universal healthcare - and immigration reform. clinton promised to create more jobs - and says she wants to rebuild the middle class. "we can't. we can't rebuild the middle class if we don't get back to having a strong american labor movement. so, i'm going to enforce labor laws. i'm going to stand up and use the bully pulpit." the audience was filled with labor union members, who say hillary is the leader they need. "we need to deal with getting rid of guantanamo bay and winding up these wars, and she's the person who can do that." clinton barely beat vermont senator bernie sanders in the iowa caucuses, and lost to him by 22-points in new hampshire. that means next saturday's race here in nevada, is anyone's game. good morning everyone! coming up...meeting mr. prince charming. how one high schooler is making this valentine's day one to remember...for not one...but hundreds of women. a cold snap is rolling through the east coast-- how the big apple is preparing for some of it's coldest tempretures on record. now for the latest developments on the extreme weather slamming the east coast. a sudden snow squall in central pennsylvania.. causing dozens of cars to pile up on a major interstate. more than 50 vehicles on i-78 were caught in the crash dozens of people were injured, 40 of them hospitalized, and sadly, three people lost their lives. witnesses say one moment the roads were clear, then suddenly - it was a white-out - and it caught drivers completely off guard. james steffy / witness - "it sounded like two bombs went off people laying out and trucks and cars all smashed, cars underneath tractor trailers, just total destruction." dozens of ambulances took drivers to a local firehouse to keep them out of the cold. that cold weather front is also bringing arctic cold from the midwest to north carolina and maine. are baring the bone chilling temperatures. cities across the northeast are declaring a code blue. police are racing to get homeless off the street. new york city could feel the coldest air in years with temperatures dipping to 40 below. doctors are urging people to take this weather seriously sot doctor "if you're out with exposed skin in as little as 10-15 minutes you can start feeling symptoms of burning, stinging, pain another concern is water pipes freezing over. a lot of people are taking precautions to protect their homes. conditions are expected to improve by early next week. one high pressure system is departing to the east with another building in from the west. that will increase wind speeds from the north, especially down the colorado river valley where winds could gust to 40 mph and a wind advisory is in place. we'll see gusts to about 25mph valley but nothing much higher than that. that means it'll be noticeable, but not particularly troublesome through this afternoon. highs will be very close to where we were yesterday as the cold air has been better trapped in the northern half of the state. expect highs right around 74 once again across southern nevada. getting into next week with highs around 76 by tuesday before spiking around 80 on wednesday before "crashing" back to about 70 for thursday and friday. that "crash" is courtesy of an upper level system which will miss vegas to the north, but will drag a stronger looking front through the city. that could bring a few the direction of flow isn't favorable to many showers, so sprinkles at worst looks to be the best forecast here. this could change as trends have deepened the low and brought more moisture along with it. we'll continue to monitor this as we get into next week, with around with another ridge likely building in behind that low for next weekend. ((ad-lib)) ((ad-lib)) last night's gop presidential debate was jolted by the sudden supreme court justice antonin scalia. on top of that news, the debate comes exactly one week before south carolina voters head to the polls. it is the first southern primary of the 2016 election season. melisa rany reports. a change in tone saturday night as the remaining republican presidential candidates took the debate stage in greenville, south carolina. following a moment of silence for the late justice scalia... the candidates were asked how they would go about selecting his replacement. " i pulled him through the driver side window and got him out that way. plus a man being recognized as a hero for his incredible rescue. murder-suicide shooting on friday at a phoenix-area high school. the shooting prompted a lockdown. social workers have been on hand at the school to help students get through the rough times. police haven't released the names of the victims, but a teacher at the school has come forward, saying her sister is one of the victims. it's believed the two victims were in a relationship. many are calling a hero. a virginia man pulls a driver from a burning car---saving his life. 51-year-old meredith conyers, sr. risked his life to save the trapped man, but he says he doesn't think he's a hero at all. meredith says he was on his way to work around 4 a-m on the freeway and noticed a car with smoke plummeting from it.. he says his first instinct was to get out and see if anyone was in the car. to his surprise a young man was inside screaming for help. meredith conyers, sr.0pulled man from burning car " i pulled him through the driver side window and got him out engulfed in flames. we sat there and he was just moaning and groaning because he was in pain." the driver's family is asking for privacy. a family spokesperson did say the young man has a long recovery ahead but will be okay. on a cruise ship battered by severe weather in the middle of the atlantic ocean. the coast guard has now cleared that ship to set sail again. you can see in this timelapse video just how bad conditions got. the massive ocean liner was forced to turn away from the bahamas after running into severe weather off the carolina coast. inspectors have examined the ship and say it's okay to set sail again, and it doesn't seem passengers are too worried. i think it's gonna be the most secured ship after what happened last week." "i don't think that they would send us out if there was any trouble." the ship returned to new jeresy on wednesday with 6 thousand passengers and crew members. turning overseas...where brazil's president says the zika virus outbreak will not compromise the upcoming olympics in rio. the president says the country will have considerable success fighting mosquitos carrying the virus. yesterday was a national fight zika. brazil's military and hundreds of thousands of health workers have been mobilized in the fight. experts say the virus is sweeping through parts of latin america. zika is mostly harmless for adults, but it's been linked to a serious birth defect among newborns. the olympics in rio de janeiro get under way in august. . when good morning las vegas returns... a new form of therapy... helping veterans beat-by-beat. the music helping veterans facing some serious ailments. "i was here dancing three minutes and i had a great grin on my face and i looked around and the other vets were grinning, the volunteers were grinning." dancing well's organizer says the idea started to help improve soldiers memory. they quickly realized it also lowered pain, reduced anxiety and reconnected bonds. it's even inspired this veteran to sign up as a volunteer. "i know some of the things that help them and i hope i can incorporate it and help these people in that way too." after this go-around... organizers hope to turn things up again soon as long as the vets are willing to give it a chance. "if the vets would do that, they would fall in love with it, just like i did." the dancing is free for veterans and their families. the group hopes to start a new still ahead on good morning las vegas..
