"right here is a a nice size nail from right here in the carpet. it went through my foot. it took them about a month to come and repair it. when we went to the front office to ask them why... "people are telling us that you're not responding to their complaints." . police say the driver of the car is a female in her late 20, was the only person in the car when this happened. they say she was heading eastbound when she hit the median, crossed over into the westbound lanes, and hit the bus stop. a man in a wheelchair was waiting at the bus stop. he was taken the the hospital but did not survive. one man who rides the bus here often was not surprised by what happened here this afternoon. sot louis westry takes the bus here 14.18.50 it could have been me or my kids at that bus stop 51 i used to work down the their house suddenly went up in flames this morning. this cellphone video shows the flames near pecos and gowan. 3 people were inside at the time. we spoke with a man who did everything he could to save his family. junior rivera, fire victim 4:20:37-4:20:44 "i was thinking gotta get my grandfather out of this house and not worry about my stuff. they're more important." butt with 4:22:08-4:22:14 "it's saddening that the house burned cause we lived here all our life and we've really got no where to go." unfortunately.. one of the family's dogs couldn't escape the fire. the family is now getting new at -6- tonight... a new, supposedly.... state-of-the-art system goes down. despite a recent... multi-million-dollar upgrade... metro's 9-1-1 system had an hours- long outage tuesday... leading to delays.... dropped calls.... and busy signals!!! for one -30- to -50- minute window... no one could get through.... to 9-1-1 at all. contact 13.... chief investigator.... darcy spears has been looking into 9-1-1 problems... and... continues the hunt for answers.... to tuesday's critical system crash. darcy standup: though the 9-1-1 system is now stable and metro says calls are being taken without any issues, they still don't know exactly what happened. their service provider, airbus ds communications, says there are several areas being investigated as the probable cause, but they don't have a firm conclusion yet. and probably won't until the middle of next week. airbus says 9-1-1 networks are complicated and any downtime is often an isolated issue unique to the system. metro has stepped up monitoring call center to immediately trouble-shoot should anything else go wrong. metro remains very concerned about that 30 to 50-minute window where no calls were going through before they started re-routing to north las vegas and henderson. that, too, is under investigation. they had hoped to have a back-up system in place at the beginning of this year so calls wouldn't have to be re-routed in the case of a system outage, but the backup is delayed until spring. what happened tuesday is just the latest in a string of issues contact 13 has uncovered with 9-1-1. 1:43 debbie: and i said, oh my god i'll go call 911! and i went to the land line in the bedroom and i called and it said... it said...
