A missing woman found in a container, where shed been kept for two months, chained up like a dog. And now this man, Todd Christopher kohlhepp, a registered sex offender, is under arrest. Reporter police say they container in a wooded area surrounded by a chainlink fence. Authorities have been searching the area for 30yearold kala brown and her boyfriend, charles carver, since they went missing in late august. Today, police say they found carvers car on that property, and that brown says there could be multiple bodies there. The victims friend told a local clean houses before he rented or sold them. Brown says she was fed during her time in captivity. Reporter theyre saying those eight shots, five in the back, were lawful, because they say slager and 50yearold walter scott, fought to the ground before the gunfire. But no struggle is ever seen in the cell phone video or on the dash cam video from slagers police car played in court. The reason for the stop is, your third brake light is out. Reporter jurors saw the routine traffic stop, and saw scott running. His mother says he was worried about unpaid Child Support and says h stop. All i heard was, get on the ground and put your hands behind your back. Reporter the Prosecutor Says scott was no threat, and showed just how far apart they were when slager started shooting. But still tonight, no clear motive for why he killed the officers while they simply sat in their cars. Overseas tonight, and to afghanistan, where two American Service members have died in a joint u.
