and she's always been like that and always been that positive force. she gets excited over the small things and always has. hoda's so genuinely warm and genuinely caring about people. as a sister, she's best. now i live in dubai, so when i'm having a bad day, i think about it. it's a nine-hour time difference, and i think, oh, gosh, i would love to hear her voice, because the minute she picks up, i'm uplifted. it's like, hi, and if i tell her any problem i'm having, within a minute it doesn't become a problem anymore, she has that sort of magical effect. she's able to make you look at something differently and make it seem so simple and basic, and you hang up the phone wondering why was i even worried about that to begin with. >> cancer gave me the gift of you can't scare me. >> because of her personality and her positiveness and all of that, she was able to come through something like that really well. but it was hard. >> hoda's kindness and generosity are two qualities that are, i can't even speak enough about them. just to be genuinely kind, to genuinely help people, i hear from them every day, on so many levels, she's doing things for other people, and it feels good. and it feels like it may be a small thing, but it's something that she makes it a point in her life to do, and i think that's something everyone should do. i am so proud of hoda. everything that she's done, everything that she continues to do. you know, i think we're all blessed by knowing her, and me being her sister. i can't even tell you, you know. i can't say enough. and i feel like i won't do mother justice. really. more like hoda, for sure. >> how lovely was that? >> that was such a surprise. >> you didn't know that was coming? oh, there's more. first of all, she calls me hodi. >> we heard from your sister, mishi. >> i hope mine's better than yours. >> we have been close our whole lives. the wonderful thing about my sister was when my mom was carrying me, my mom would always say, when our baby comes, we're going to change her. we're going to feed her. we're going to love on her. we're going to play with her and all of that. so when i was born, literally, i had a mother and a 3-year-old mother. and that carried me through for a whole lot of years. she carried me over rocks. come on little mish. always taking my hand. and she's still doing that, even though we're older women, but we're still as close as ever. now we share families and fears and so we're better than ever. and i didn't think that was possible, to be honest with you. she is someone you want on your side. she's someone that you want when the ship's going down. trust me, she'll organize everybody to the last breath, and god knows we all need somebody like that in our lives that says i'll take the reins. my sister's done that, waged amazing battles on my behalf, when i was very ill, and my daughter was very ill, my sister was the one that was constant other than my parents. and i pray that i've done the same thing for her. in recent times, and especially since the loss of frank she's shown her real mettle, everything she has professed to be, she is. she has something for everybody who's willing to ask. i think in this day and age her courage to stand up when she believes in, in what's good and right. and i think the lord's using her, and i pray for her every her in a time when darkness is surrounding us, you know? and so to say i'm proud is just an absolute understatement. >> oh! >> that was awesome. thank you. >> we both said before, are we throwing to some tape about sisters? >> we didn't get any notes on this. we don't really care anyway, but thank you, guys. thank you to our beautiful sisters. >> that was beautiful. >> we're so blessed to have -- >> i'm so happy. >> you're like my other sister, hodi. >> you are, too. >> i love you. >> so are your cherished christmas ornaments worth their weight in gold? >> pawn, pawn.awn. so how ya doing? enough pressure in here for ya? ugh. my sinuses are killing me. yeah...just wait 'til we hit ten thousand feet. i'm gonna take mucinex sinus-max. too late, we're about to take off. they're new liquid gels. and you're coming with me... wait, what?! you realize i have gold status? do i still get the miles? new mucinex sinus-max liquid gels. dissolves fast to unleash max strength medicine. start the relief. ditch the misery. let's end this. i take pictures of sunrises, but with my back pain i couldn't sleep and get up in time. then i found aleve pm. aleve pm is the only one to combine a safe sleep aid plus the 12 hour pain relieving strength of aleve. i'm back. aleve pm for a better am. ugh! heartburn! no one burns on my watch! try alka-seltzer heartburn reliefchews. they work fast and don't taste chalky. mmm...amazing. i have heartburn. alka-seltzer heartburn reliefchews. when you pulled your christmas decor from their boxes this year did you think about how much they could be worth? >> look at this tree covered with 900 glass ornaments. >> lucille wanted to know if they were worth a pretty penny so we called in the exports from hardcore pawn. >> pawn. >> yes. >> welcome back. >> thank you so much for having us. this is a christopher radco. >> 900 times $1500 is a lot of money. >> anybody buying that has to buy the whole collection. >> we have viewers who would like you to size-up some of their goods. we have odia. >> my mother has had these since i was little. my father buys her one every he doesn't really make them anymore. so i wonder how much are they worth? >> what you have here is a mass-produced item. to you, it's emotionally bonding because your mom got them for you and collected them. in the real world, there's not a lot of value, anywhere between $20 and $40 each. >> mm-hm. >> but to you, they're priceless. exactly. >> you just know that from the manufacturer. >> it says made in china. it's a nice collectible. >> it's very sweet. >> one was from the mid '90s. the other was from 2007 i believe. they're still making them now. they just don't have a lot of value. >> next up we have shari, a book with some famous signatures in it. >> i have a very cool sort of old hollywood piece here. it is the guest book from jack benny's funeral. >> what? where did you get that? >> it was given to my husband, governor of california's in here, groucho marx. >> very well loved in hollywood. >> history on history. jack benny's funeral book. if nobody signed it, it would be worth something from 1974. the first thing i would recommend is getting a few of them authenticated. making sure that nancy didn't sign it or someone didn't sign ronald reagan. i would pick out ronald reagan, milton beryl and groucho marx. >> if they're authentic. >> then probably between $5,000 and $10,000. >> would you sell that or hang onto that? >> i think i would sell it. >> we're already negotiating a deal. it's almost in our collection. >> thank you. >> we have kris and alise parker with their collection of santas. >> hai,i, how are you? >> the collection started about christmas gift, alise. she bought this for me, a mixture of faith and myth. and i've started a whole collection. many of these are folk art pieces or kich pieces. >> what do you think? >> as i looked at his collection, a lot of them were manufactured and made by artists, none that were very recognizable. that was one of the things. these particular things, again, are priceless because he traveled around the world to collect them. this particular one would probably be worth $50. his other ones, maybe a little more, a little less, but he'd be better off selling them in smaller lots. the emotional bond that he has is going to make the difference. he has to be ready to sell them or he'll never make a deal. >> are you ready to sell them? >> in a few years. >> but they look great on his mantle. >> a lot of people collecting, means finding a treasure. >> thank you for coming to see >> thank you. >> we're going to be back with much more. >> but first this is "today" on nbc. >> what she said.id. i have asthma... ...one of many pieces in my life. so when my asthma symptoms kept coming back on my long-term control medicine, i talked to my doctor and found a missing piece in my asthma treatment. once-daily breo prevents asthma symptoms. breo is for adults with asthma not well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. breo won't replace a rescue inhaler for sudden breathing problems. breo opens up airways to help improve breathing for a full 24 hours. breo contains a type of medicine that increases the risk of death from asthma problems and may increase the risk of hospitalization in children and adolescents. breo is not for people whose asthma is well controlled on a long-term asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. once your asthma is well controlled, your doctor will decide if you can stop breo and prescribe a different asthma control medicine, like an inhaled corticosteroid. do not take breo more than prescribed. see your doctor if your asthma does not improve or gets worse. could be a missing piece for you. see if you're eligible for 12 months free at mybreo.com. before there could be a nation, there had to be people willing to fight for it, to take on the world's greatest challenges, whatever they might be. so, the u.s. army masters not only tactics and strategy, but also physics and chemistry. we make battle plans and create breakthroughs - in medicine, science and engineering. our next mission could be anything. so we prepare for everything. hey buddy, let's get these dayquil liquid gels and go. but these liquid gels are new. mucinex fast max. it's the same difference. these are multi-symptom. well so are these. this one is max strength and fights mucus. that one doesn't. uh...think fast! you dropped something. oh...i'll put it back on the shelf... the only cold and flu liquid gel that's max-strength and fights mucus. start the relief. ditch the misery. we are entering the final drive. with more than $27 million worth of toys and gifts are headed out to needy children and families around the world. we have another contribution, executive affairs at amway. how are you? >> that was such a surprise. >> you didn't know that was coming? oh, there's more. first of all, she calls me hodi. >> we heard from your sister, mishi. >> i hope mine's better than yours. >> we have been close our whole lives. the wonderful thing about my sister was when my mom was carrying me, my mom would always say, when our baby comes, we're going to change her. we're going to feed her. we're going to love on her. we're going to play with her and all of that. so when i was born, literally, i had a mother and a 3-year-old mother. and that carried me through for a whole lot of years. she carried me over rocks. come on little mish. always taking my hand. and she's still doing that, even though we're older women, but we're still as close as ever. now we share families and fears and so we're better than ever. and i didn't think that was possible, to be honest with you. she is someone you want on your side. she's someone that you want when the ship's going down. trust me, she'll organize everybody to the last breath, and god knows we all need somebody like that in our lives that says i'll take the reins. my sister's done that, waged amazing battles on my behalf, when i was very ill, and my daughter was very ill, my sister was the one that was constant other than my parents. and i pray that i've done the same thing for her. in recent times, and especially since the loss of frank she's shown her real mettle, everything she has professed to be, she is. she has something for everybody who's willing to ask. i think in this day and age her courage to stand up when she believes in, in what's good and right. and i think the lord's using her, and i pray for her every her in a time when darkness is surrounding us, you know? and so to say i'm proud is just an absolute understatement. >> oh! >> that was awesome. thank you. >> we both said before, are we throwing to some tape about sisters? >> we didn't get any notes on this. we don't really care anyway, but thank you, guys. thank you to our beautiful sisters. >> that was beautiful. >> we're so blessed to have -- >> i'm so happy. >> you're like my other sister, hodi. >> you are, too. >> i love you. >> so are your cherished christmas ornaments worth their weight in gold?
